LG G Pad 8.3 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon 600 processor

LG had been teasing an upcoming tablet known as the G Pad 8.3 and today in Seoul , the company has finally taken the wraps of the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet and it does look like the big brother of the LG G2 smartphone which debuted recently. The GPad will be showcased at IFA 2013 in Berlin this week and true to its name it packs a 8.3 inch display with a massive 1920×1200 resolution similar to the resolution of the screen on the new Nexus 7 2013. On the inside it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quadcore Processor running at  1.7GHz. LG has managed to pack a 4600 mAh battery into this device which is only about 8.3 mm thick and still weighs only about 338 grams. It runs on Android 4.2.2

LG Optimus G Pro vs Sony Xperia Z

LG Optimus G Pro is LG’s first Full HD smartphone and it comes with a 5.5inch display making it more phablet than phone. Sony’s first Full HD smartphone, Xperia Z comes with a 5inch display giving it a more compact body. Powerful quad-core Snapdragon processors power both the phones although the Optimus G Pro has newer generation processor.

LG Optimus G Pro vs Lenovo K900

LG Optimus G Pro was LG’s first Full HD phone which was announced way back in January but only recently launched. The Lenovo K900 was also announced in January and has been available since June in India.

Both the phones are similar in the fact that both of them have a 5.5inch Full HD display. The internals are completely different with the G Pro being powered by a Snapdragon 600 Processor while the Lenovo K900 is powered by Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor.

LG G Pad 8.3 shows up in a leaked render

LG G Pad 8.3

LG released a teaser video for its upcoming LG G Pad 8.3 tablet. Though the video had little to do with the tablet, it was about various people talking what they use their tablet for and what would make them use it more. The theme of the teaser goes by “What would make a tablet just right for you?”. The new LG G Pad is expected to be announced at the IFA in early September.

It packs a 2460 mAh battery and a Infrared transmitter for Quick-Remote. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. LG Optimus L9 II with 4.7-inch 720p display leaked

LG unveiled the Optimus L Series II devices, the Optimus L3 II, the Optimus L5 II and the Optimus L7 II and their dual SIM variants earlier this February. The L4 II Dual went on sale in India last month and the entry-level phone L1 II was announced earlier this month. Now evleaks has leaked the press image and the specifications of the L9 II, the successor of the Optimus L9 that was launched last year. The Optimus L9 II would have a similar 4.7-inch display, but this would have a 720p display instead of the qHD display and the processor has been upgraded to  1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 MSM8320 processor instead of  1 GHz TI OMAP 4430. LG Display, the display arm of LG Electronics has announced the world’s first Quad HD AH-IPS LCD panel for smartphones. The LCD panel is of size 5.5-inches diagonally with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels at a pixel density of 538ppi. It has the highest resolution and ppi (pixel per inch) mobile panel to date. LG rumored to produce Nexus 5 at Nexus 4’s price point

Rumors are floating high about who will be producing the next Nexus device. Earlier this year, we had rumors that LG would be the one to produce it, but recent rumors indicate that Motorola would be doing it. But new reports from South Korean website, MyDrivers point to LG as the producer of next Nexus.

LG Vu 3 specs surface, 5.2-inch display and Snapdragon 800 processor

LG has announced the Optimus Vu II, successor of the Optimus Vu back in September last year. Now the specifications of the third Vu phone, the Vu 3 has surfaced. The Vu 3 would have a IPS display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio similar to first two phones in the series, but the display is rumored to be a bit larger at 5.2-inches with a resolution of 1280 by 960, better than the 1024  by 768 pixels. The Vu 3 is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 800 processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera similar to the LG G2, the latest flagship that was unveiled recently. LG has announced the Optimus L1 II, a new phone in the L Series II. It has a 3.0-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen  display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with VGA video recording. Apart from the screen size and the camera, other features are similar to the LG Optimus L3 II that was launched in India back in April. LG G2 Hands On

At an event in New York, LG announced its next generation flagship dubbed the G2. The phone is a fairly significant departure from the design language of the Optimus G. In fact the device comes off as a smartphone inspired by the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and this ideology is not restricted to the hardware of the G2. We’ve had some time with the handset and while not conclusive, here are our thoughts on LG’s latest.

LG launched the G2 their latest flagship Android phone today in New York City in USA. Andre from our US team was there at this launch event and got us these photos of the G2 just for FoneArena readers. The design of the G2 is the worst kept secret and has been leaked a zillion times but then this is the final real device which was announced today.The display is a gorgeous 5.2 inch full HD IPS screen with a very small bezel and there are no physical keys on the front and the Android keys are on screen like on the Nexus 4. LG G2 appears in leaked press render ahead of launch

Ahead of the LG G2’s launch in New York, a press render has been leaked by the always reliable @evleaks. The first ‘press’ shot of the image confirms what has already been known about this well leaked device.

The handset will sport an edge to edge display with a size of 5.2 inches. The resolution like any other respectable flagship will be 1080p. The most striking break from the otherwise traditional design is the volume rocker and power key that resides at the back of the phone under the camera module. The specifications of the handset are right in line with the rest of the upcoming competition and the phone is being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.3Ghz with an Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The rear camera is a 13MP unit while the front is rated at 2.1MP. The phone will sport a nano SIM card slot first seen on the iPhone 5 and more recently on the Moto X.
