LG G3 (LS990) UA Profile shows up, reveals 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 3GB RAM and more

Alleged screenshot of LG G3 leaked recently that showed off a flat Android UI. Now UA Profile of the LG LS990 for Sprint has surfaced on the official sprint website. Since the LG G2 for Sprint has a model number LS980, this smartphone is expected to be the upcoming LG G3. According the UA Profile, this smartphone would come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD (QHD) display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels that was announced last year, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974 processor (could be Snapdragon 800 or 801 SoC). LG Odin chipset entering mass production soon, to skip flagship G3

As competition in the chipset space increases, its been rumored that LG has plans of their own to bring along an ARM based system on chip dubbed Odin. While rumors have been around for a couple of years now, we finally might have something concrete around the specifics of the chipset. Believed to be based on the big.LITTLE configuration that we talked about a while back, the Odin chipset would pair four Cortex A15 cores clocked at 2.2Ghz each with four Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7Ghz. LG G2 mini global roll out begins in April

LG has announced that the LG G2 mini would roll out globally starting from next month. It was unveiled ahead of MWC 2014 and packs a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 or 1.7 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4i processor, and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8 or 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It will be available in Dual SIM variants, 3G and LTE variants depending on the region. LG partners with Airtel and Qualcomm to launch LTE experience zone in Bangalore

LG Electronics has partnered with Airtel and Qualcomm to set up LTE experience zone in Bangalore for customers to experience 4G LTE. Airtel introduced 4G on mobile first on iPhone 5c and 5s for customers in Bangalore last month. LG launched the 4G LTE variant of the L2 G2 in India earlier this month starting at Rs. 46,000. LG G2 gets the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in India

Last month LG UK promised that the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update would be available in UK starting mid-March. The international variant of the LG G2 got the KitKat update last week, now the update is available for the Indian G2 users. The KitKat update for the G2 would bring battery-saving location mode, speed improvements for 17% percent faster performance compared to Jelly Bean, Google Cloud Print and lots more new features. LG to bring Knock Code feature to more smartphones via firmware update starting April

It has built-in Bluetooth 4.0 that lets you connect the bulb to Android (4.3 or later) and iOS (version 6.0 or higher) devices. Once connected, it lets you turn the lights on or off with a single touch, control brightness, slowly turn the lights on when you wake up in the morning and more. LG’s G Watch will be Google’s first “Nexus” Smartwatch, powered by Android Wear

Close on the heels of the announcements from Google for Android Wear and Motorola’s Moto 360 Smartwatch, LG has announced that it will actually be making the first smartwatch powered by the new wearables platform. The LG G watch, as it is called, will be the first smartwatch to release to the market, powered by Google’s Android Wear platform. LG and Google have apparently worked on this device together, right from design, just like a Nexus product. The details of the LG G watch have not been revealed yet, but the availability is set to the second quarter of 2014.

Leaked LG wearable envisions a colourful alternate way to carry a stylus

LG might be working on the Google Smartwatch for all we know, but it seems like they are trying their hand at some other wearable products as well. evleaks has posted the image above, which looks to have a colourful wearable capacitive stylus that can bend. While we have no exact details for this product, it does look like an accessory at best, for the phone as well as for us. At a glance, it will look like a wrist band, but the next moment you can whip it out and start taking notes on your large screen phone. The tip of the stylus reminds us that this is definitely of the capacitive type, which means that it can work for a product like, lets say, the iPad too.

LG G Pro 2 global roll out begins starting from Asia

LG unveiled the G Pro 2, successor of the G Pro ahead of Mobile World Congress last month. It went on sale in Korea at the end of February, even before it was showcased at the MWC. The company today announced that it has started selling the smartphones in Asian markets including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam and Indonesia. It was showcased at the LG Tech Show 2014 event in India earlier this month, but the company did not reveal the launch date of the yet.
