Intel and Micron introduces faster 3D XPoint memory technology
Intel and Micron have debuted a new memory chip that can be used as non volatile memory as well as system memory. Dubbed as 3D XPoint, the technology is 1,000 times faster than the current-generation NAND flash chips upon which modern solid-state drives are built.

Intel Remote Keyboard announced, Lets you control your NUC from your Android device
With the release of Intel’s latest Baytrail platform, the company has been making a push for small form factor computing devices. This includes devices like the NUC (Next Unit of Computing) as well as the Compute Stick. These computing systems aren’t specifically meant for standard desktop computing scenarios and are typically used without a permanently attached keyboard or mouse in an HTPC or digital signage setting. Unique use cases of the Intel Compute Stick
The Compute stick from Intel is a great proof of concept for mobile-driven x86 computing. How affordable convertibles are the new and improved Netbooks
Netbooks have traditionally been slow and clunky. Marketed as the most affordable way to consume the internet, they were too slow and only mildly productive, when in reality they were used purely for consumption due to their powerlessness. Tablets quickly replaced them to become the new Netbook-style consumption device. But tablets aren’t even mildly productive, they’re just not meant to be, because of the lack of a proper input device that required precision. Some companies tried to solve this problem.

Intel NUC Mini PC Demo
We had recently unboxed the NUC Mini PC and showed you how it’s installed and setup, in terms of hardware, but the experience is all in the software. Initially we chose Ubuntu, but a number of errors turned our attention towards the technical preview of Windows 10. We booted the latest image from a pen drive and installed it to realize the device’s primary use case as a media center PC.
Intel NUC Mini PC Unboxing
Intel demonstrated the “Next Unit of Computing”, or simply called NUC back in 2012 with Sandy Bridge processor. It updated the NUC with Broadwell-U, Intel’s 14 nanometer 5th generation processor at the CES 2015 earlier this year. The NUC is a mini PC in a small square box. It has a processor with graphics, wireless connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth and all the necessary ports to connect a monitor and other peripherals. Intel introduces Thunderbolt 3 with reversible USB Type-C
Intel has introduced Thunderbolt 3, the next-generation Thunderbolt with USB-C connector offering 40Gbps speed, double the speed of Thunderbolt 2 and four times faster than USB 3.1. For the first time, one computer port connects to Thunderbolt devices, every display, and billions of USB devices, said the company. A single cable can provide four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other cable, while supplying power. Intel announces new fifth generation core processors with better graphics and speed
Intel has officially announced new fifth generation core processors at the ongoing Computex 2015. The company has “augmented” its lineup with five new desktop processors and five mobile processors that are geared towards media- and graphics-hungry consumers.

Intel is expected to acquire chip maker Altera for $17 billion, as per a report from The New York Times. The report said that, Intel, world’s largest chipmaker would use Altera’s semiconductor designs to expand beyond the market for personal computers.
