HTC launched the Desire 516c smartphone, the Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) variant of last year’s Desire 516 in India last month for Rs. 12,990. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 200 Processor with four ARM Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and has Adreno 302 GPU. But the CPU-Z and other benchmark apps show that it has a Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1GB RAM, 5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD screen and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS with Sense UI on top. HTC has announced the Desire 820s, a variant of the Desire 820 smartphone in China. It uses a 1.7GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek (MT6752 likely) processor instead of Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor in the Desire 820. Other specifications are similar to the Desire 820, including a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with HTC Sense 6 UI on top, 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and dual-front-facing BoomSound speakers. HTC Desire 820 mini has been leaked on the company’s official website in China. The phone however, was soon taken down from the Chinese web store.
HTC has confirmed last week that Android 5.0 Lollipop update is coming to One (M7) and One (M8) “within 90 days of receiving final software”. Now, the company has extended the update to more of its devices, according to latest report from LlabTooFeR.
