HTC has revealed that customers waiting for the Lollipop upgrade will not receive it in time for HTC’s self-imposed deadline of Feb. 1. The two phones from some carrier will not meet the 90 day update goal.
HTC, as promised has started rolling out Lollipop update for One M8 and M7 Google Play Edition (GPE). However, the company is skipping the Android 5.0 and jumping directly to Android 5.0.1.
HTC had first announced last month that One M8 and M7 will receive Android 5.0 update “within 90 days of receiving final software from Google.” Today, the company has revealed that it has received the source code for Lollipop.
With every flagship device, HTC also brings a revamped version of it’s own Sense UI that build upon the core Android interface. Now in it’s sixth generation, the interface is almost the perfect balance between the minimalism of stock Android and additional features, UI elements brought forth by HTC.
