HTC launched the Desire 820 smartphone in India last month for Rs. 24,990. The OnePlus One from the startup OnePlus is the company’s first smartphone, which also has a 5.5-inch screen, but it’s a full HD display. We already brought you the unboxing of the Desire 820 and full review of the OnePlus One. The OnePlus is expected to launch in India soon. Here we have the comparison gallery of the Desire 820 and the OnePlus.

The Desire 820 has a HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, while the OnePlus One comes with a 5.5-inch (1920 ×1080 pixels) Full HD display .  The Desire 820 has a 8MP front-facing camera with wide angle lens, while the OnePlus One comes with a 5MP camera. The Desire 820 is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor ( four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and four clocked at 1.0 GHz) with Adreno 405 GPU and has 2GB of RAM, compared to the 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU on the OnePlus One.

The Desire 820 has on-screen buttons,  HTC branding on the bezel below the display, dual front speakers with built-in amplifiers and HTC BoomSound capabilities. The OnePlus One has capacitive touch buttons below the display. The Desire 820 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense 6 UI on top. The OnePlus One runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat-based  CyanogenMod 11S ROM.

The Desire 820 has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2, BSI sensor, LED flash and supports 1080p Full HD video recording. The OnePlus One has a 13MPcamera with Sony IMX214 stacked sensor, 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash and 4K video recording

The Desire 820 has glossy finish back with unibody construction and the OnePlus One has a rough finish for the 64GB Sandstone Black version.  The Desire 820 comes in Santorini White, Marble White, Milky-way Grey , Tangerine White, Saffron Grey, Flamingo Grey, Blue Mist and Monarch Orange glossy back variants and Tuxedo Grey matte back variant. The OnePlus One comes in Silk White 16GB version and the 64GB Sandstone Black version. Under the back cover the Desire 820 has a 2600mAh battery and the OnePlus One has a 3100mAh battery.

The OnePlus One also has Cyanogen branding on the back, apart from the OnePlus One logo on the top. The Desire 820 has the HTC branding on the back in Blue color.

The Desire 820 has volume rockers and power/lock button on the right side, but the OnePlus only has a power/lock button on right side.  The Desire 820 measures 157.7 x 78.7 x 7.7 mm and weighs 155 grams and the OnePlus One measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 162 grams.

The Desire 820 has two nano SIM slots and a microSD card slot on the left side. The OnePlus One has volume rockers and a micro SIM card slot on that side. The Desire 820 has 16GB of internal storage and the OnePlus One comes in 16GB or 64GB memory variants without expansion slot.

Both these have a micro USB slot on the bottom. There is a primary microphone next to micro USB slot in the OnePlus One. The loudspeaker grills are also present on the bottom for the OnePlus One.  The Desire 820 has the same glossy finish even on the sides, and the OnePlus One has the same rough finish.

Both these smartphones have a secondary microphone and 3.5mm audio jack on the top.
