Google Maps has released a new update with 4 new features designed for the upcoming holiday season. The “busyness” feature has now been extended to show for larger areas, the Directory tab is available for more places around the globe, pickup with Google Maps now supports more stores, and more.
In the latest Google Pixel 6 smartphones, the stock camera app came with a couple of options and features that were new to Pixel devices. The company has now rolled out a new update to the Google Camera app that brings some of these new options and features to older Pixel devices.
One of the highlight features of Android 12 is its ability to create and set a custom system-wide theme that is based on the phone’s wallpaper. At the moment, the feature is only supported on Pixel devices. However, that may change soon as other manufacturers are said to introduce dynamic theme support in their smartphones too.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro launched last month, featuring a QHD+ 120Hz OLED display. In the past week, multiple user reports have emerged that show a weird display flickering issue when the phone is switched off and the power button is clicked. Google has acknowledged the issue and has announced a software fix is incoming with the December software update.
Google introduced the Magic Eraser tool for Google Photo, which uses AI to remove distractions and objects in photos, at the Google Pixel 6 launch event. Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube, has released their earnings report for the third quarter of 2021. According to it, the company earned $65.1 billion in revenue, which calculates to a YoY growth of 41%. The company had a net income of $18.93 billion, an operating income of $21 billion and its diluted Earnings Per Share was reported to be $27.99.

Facing increasing pressure from regulators and lawmakers around the world, Google has announced that, starting January 1st 2022, subscriptions on Google Play will have a reduced fee of 15% for developers right from day one. Along with the launch of the Pixel 6 devices yesterday, Google also introduced a new subscription service called Pixel Pass. Starting at $45 per month, subscribers of Pixel Pass will be able to avail benefits such as premium Google services, device protection and regular device upgrades.

Yesterday during their Pixel 6 launch event, Google introduced a couple of new updates for their Android Phone app, including two new features called Wait Times and Direct My Call. These two features designed to help when calling businesses, and in addition Google also introduced the ability for users to share information about unknown businesses.
