Google Pixel 6 with 6.4″ FHD+ 90Hz OLED display and Pixel 6 Pro with 6.7″ QHD+ 120Hz OLED display, Google Tensor SoC announced starting at $599

Google just announced new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro 5G smartphones at its fall launch event, as promised. The Pixel 6 comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, and the Pixel 6 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ OLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate. Both the smartphones are powered by Google Tensor SoC with support for 5G SA/NSA and come with Titan M2 Security chip. These run Android 12, and Google has confirmed that starting with Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Pixels will receive security updates for at least 5 years, but OS updates is at 3 years. Google Maps update introduces Eco-friendly routing, Lite navigation for cyclists and more

Google often introduces updates to their services that allows users to make more sustainable choices. In a new update to Google Maps, the company has introduced 3 new features including Eco-friendly routing, Bike and scooter share information, and Lite navigation for cyclists. We already know that the phone’s will use own Tensor SoC, and the company has posted press shots of the phones officially. The Pixel 6 will feature an aluminium frame with matte finish, and the Pixel 6 Pro will come with a polished aluminium frame. Google Search introduces Multitask Unified Model (MUM) with advanced searching capabilities

At their Search On livestream event yesterday, Google unveiled their latest AI-based feature called Multitask Unified Model (MUM) for Google Search. The feature enables the ability to combine images and text into a single query, introduces a new “Things to know” section in Search results and more. Along with this, Google also introduced updates to the “About This Result” feature in Search.

Google found in violation of India’s competition law: CCI report

After a 2-year-long probe, the Competition Commission of India (Competition Commission of India) has released a report stating that Google leveraged their Play Store dominance and had antitrust behaviour that stifled competition in the Android smartphone space. The report, once reviewed, may result in penalties for Google and may force them to change their Play Store policies.

Google Pixel 6 Pro with Tensor SoC, 12GB RAM, Android 12 surfaces in benchmarks

Google already confirmed that it will use its own Tensor SoC for the first time. A recent rumour revealed that the SoC is nothing but an unreleased Samsung Exynos 9855 SoC that will offer similar performance as the Exynos 2100 SoC. Now the pixel 6 Pro has allegedly surfaced in Geekbench listing that reveals 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-X1 CPU for ultimate processing power, 2 x 2.25 GHz performance cores and 4 x 1.8GHz power efficient CPU cores. Google Pixel Buds A-Series Review

Google launched its first Pixel Buds in several countries including the US last year priced at US$179, but it didn’t  launch in India. After introducing the Pixel Buds A-Series, a cheaper version of the Pixel Buds back in June at US$ 99, it was launched in India a few weeks back for Rs. 9999. Even though it retains the same design, Adaptive Sound, 12mm drivers and the same battery life from the Pixel Buds, this misses some features like the volume control, wireless charging, water resistance for the case.
