BlackBerry Messenger for Android was supposed to go live last week, but the launch was paused after the issues caused by leaked the Android APK. BlackBerry announced a couple of days back that they have paused the roll out since the leaked APK brought 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours, even before the official release that created several issues when they were about to release these apps officially. We even tried out BBM for iPhone that went live briefly on Saturday in the New Zealand app store. Later it was pulled. BlackBerry released the Z30, the company’s latest flagship smartphone last week. BlackBerry said during their recent earnings that that have plans to release at least four devices even though there were job cuts. Now BBin.in has got hold of the first image of the C-Series smartphone. BlackBerry released the Q5, an affordable variant of the Q10 in India recently, and the C-Series smartphone that has leaked would have a variant with a QWERTY keyboard. BBM for iPhone is here! Yes, for real. Here are some screenshots of BBM or BlackBerry Messenger running on an Apple iPhone 5 with iOS7.  BlackBerry announced few months back that it was bringing the BlackBerry Messenger service to iOS and Android and has kept its promise. The app is a free 30MB download which has gone live on the New Zealand iTunes app store as of now. It would be going live on the Indian App Store later today and will be available worldwide. You can either use your existing BlackBerryID (If you were using a BlackBerry device in the past) or create a new one. You need to verify the associated email account to get things working. BBM for iOS is now live

The very popular BlackBerry messenger (which was exclusive to BlackBerry devices so far) has now gone live on the iOS App Store. To be available around the globe over the next 24 hours, the application is now available on the New Zealand App Store.

BlackBerry to cut 4500 jobs, reports net losses of $950 million

Earlier today, trading stopped for BlackBerry’s stock and now we know the reason. The company has reported a net loss of $950 million and will be laying off 4500 employees. This comprises of almost 40% of the entire workforce. The company plans to reduce expenses by almost 50% and will retain about 7,000 jobs worldwide.

BBM for Android and iPhone coming on September 21st and 22nd respectively

Yesterday, BlackBerry announced their big Z30 and we brought you news that BBM will be available for Android and iOS very soon. After months of waiting, BBM will be finally available as a cross-platform service starting this week. BlackBerry have officially announced that BBM is be coming to Android on September 21st and to iOS on September 22nd.

Micromax to preload BBM on all its Canvas Smartphones

BlackBerry messenger, one of the most popular instant messaging services, had announced its arrival on iOS and Android platforms earlier, but it looks like manufacturers are already warming up to the concept of pre-loading it on their devices. Micromax is the one of the first manufacturers to announce that it will pre-load BBM on all of its Canvas Smartphones starting from the first week of October. But of course existing users too, can download the BBM app through the play store, irrespective of the device they own.

BBM for iPhone and Android to be unveiled tomorrow

Blackberry just announced their first 5inch phablet, Z30, in an event today at Malaysia which was a surprise because many of us were expecting the multi-platform launch of BlackBerry’s very popular BBM messaging service. However, there is still hope for BBM to be unveiled pretty soon as BlackBerry is rumored to have an event tomorrow(September 19th) at Jakarta in Indonesia.

The main highlight of the Z30  is the 5 inch SuperAMOLED display and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro dual core CPU. It also runs on the latest version of the BlackBerry 10.2 and it features the largest battery ever in a Blackberry device rated at 2880mAh which could deliver over 25 hours of usage.

BlackBerry 9720 launched in India for Rs. 15990


BlackBerry has just launched the 9720, a budget smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard running on BlackBerry OS 7.1 in India. It was announced last month and has a 2.8-inch (480 x 360 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with 246 ppi and a Full QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by 806 MHz processor and runs on BlackBerry OS 7.1. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It also has a dedicated BBM key that is user customizable.
