A new report suggests that Samsung saw a 2.3% decline in its market share during Q2 2015 compared to the same time frame in 2014. Samsung is the only one among the top 5 smartphone vendors to have a decline in market share compared to last year.

Xiaomi launched the Mi Note in Singapore and Malaysia recently. Today the company has announced a partnership with Uber that will let Uber riders in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to order the Mi Note smartphone using the Uber app on-demand during an exclusive pre-launch flash sale on July 27th. The Mi Note is priced at S$ 569 in Singapore and RM1549 in Malaysia.

Xiaomi has launched the 32GB variant of the Mi 4i smartphone in India on its first anniversary, as expected. The 16GB variant of the Mi 4i was launched in India back in April for Rs. 12,999. Xiaomi introduced Mi Air Purifier back in December last year, today the company has announced Mi Water Purifier. The compact water purifier measures just 205 × 260 × 410mm. It uses Reverse Osmosis (RO) to purify water and churns 400 gallons of water in 1 day. With a total dissolved solids (TDS) value of less than 100, it turns tap water to drinking water, said the company.
Xiaomi has introduced new 48-inch Mi TV 2s, few months after introducing its new 55-inch Mi TV 2. The new Mi TV 2s has a 48-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K display from Samsung with 178-degree viewing angle. The TV has 9.9mm thick aluminum alloy frame that comes in gold, pink, blue, green and silver colors. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MStar 6A928 Cortex-A17 processor, has 2GB RAM and supports a range of apps from the Mi Store. Other specifications are similar to the 55-inch Mi TV 2. The Xiaomi Mi 4i is a cheaper version of the Mi 4 with slightly downgraded specifications. The current Mi 4i which was launched in India by Xiaomi features a Snapdragon 615 processor. However it seems that they are planning to release a version which is powered by the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor.

Xiaomi has announced that the Mi 4i smartphone will finally be available on open sale in India, months after selling it through flash sales every week. The smartphone was launched in the country back in April at a price tag of Rs. 12999. Xiaomi sold 40,000 units of Mi 4i smartphones in the first flash sale at the end of April. Xiaomi has posted a teaser for the launch of a new product on July 16th on weibo. This just shows PK with a slim metal frame of a product placed in the middle. Xiaomi could unveil the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus smartphone since the company introduced the Mi 4 in July last year. We can also expect the Redmi Note 2. The long frame in the teaser also hints at a new Mi Pad tablet, but Xiaomi could also surprise us with a new product.
