Reliance Jio reportedly in talks with Xiaomi to sell Mi TVs and smartphones on its retail platform

Reliance Jio is said to be in talks with Xiaomi for exclusive rights to sell smartphones and TVs in India similar to what it has with Apple. If everything works out, Jio will exclusively sell Xiaomi phones and TVs through the Jio retail network and the Reliance Digital chain of stores, according to a new report from ET. Xiaomi surpasses Samsung to become top smartphone vendor in India in Q4 2017: Reports

Xiaomi has finally surpassed Samsung in the last quarter of 2017 claiming the top smartphone vendor in India title. The company has shipped over 8.2 million units in Q4, 2017 while Samsung despite the annual growth of 17% Samsung retained the second spot with 7.3 million smartphones shipments according to Canalys. Xiaomi begins MIUI 10 development

Xiaomi introduced MIUI 9 back in July last year along with the Mi 5X smartphone which has already rolled out to several devices. Yesterday at the 2017 Annual Meeting for MIUI division to discuss about the past year and future development, the company said that it has started the development of MIUI 10. This was confirmed by Hong Feng, Co-Founder and Vice President of Xiaomi who leads the MIUI division.

Xiaomi India might be gearing up for Explorer Program for upcoming Redmi Note 5

Xiaomi has a tradition of involving Mi Fans in device exploration before the launch of Redmi Note models in India, these explorers get devices before the official launch and are expected to participate in challenges given by the company. For Redmi Note 3 company recruited 100 Mi Fans under the Mi generation program in 2016 and last year, company recruited 50 hardcore Mi Fans as Explorers to test and explore Redmi Note 4 before its official launch. It’s been a year since Xiaomi launched its budget champion in country and everyone is anxiously waiting for the successor of Redmi Note 4. Xiaomi announced the lightning fast MIUI 9 Global back in November 2017 with many fresh changes including Split Screen, Interactive and Fresh UI changes, New Gallery App, Calendar Cards, App Vault, New Notification Shade, Mi Video App, New Mi Explorer and Mi Drop. Xiaomi rolled out these features to MIUI Global Beta ROM users in past two-three months but most of these features are still not available for Stable ROM users.
