Xiaomi Mi 6X with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, 12MP + 20MP dual rear cameras, Android 8.1 announced

Xiaomi just announced the Mi 6X, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China, as it had promised. It packs a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display, is powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC with up to 6GB RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a 20-megapixel secondary rear camera with Sony IMX376 sensor to capture depth information for portrait shots with AI and also has intelligent scent detection that can detect 12 different scenes and also instantly retouch images of 206 different scenes in 25 different categories. Xiaomi Mi 6X teased in more images, video ahead of tomorrow’s announcement

Xiaomi is all set to unveil its mid-range Mi 6X smartphone in China tomorrow. The company recently confirmed 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version of the phone and the box leak revealed no headphone jack and Snapdragon 660 SoC, now it has a teased the phone in Flame Red color and a in a new video commercial that highlights the features of the phone including its A.I dual rear cameras and the selfie camera.

Xiaomi Mi 6X 6GB RAM, 128GB storage version confirmed, retail box reveals Snapdragon 660 and no headphone jack

Xiaomi is all set to introduce the Mi 6X smartphone in a couple of days. It already confirmed 20-megapixel cameras on the front and back and also said that it will come in Blue, Pink, Red, Black and Gold colors. It also confirmed that it will have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version, in addition to 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version. Xiaomi Mi 6X with slim metal body in Blue, Pink, Red, Black and Gold colors teased in images and video

Yesterday Xiaomi confirmed that the Mi 6X that will be announced on April 25th will feature 20-megapixel cameras on the front and back. Today it has shared images of the smartphone in Blue, Pink, Red, Black and Gold colors. This also shows sleek metal body and a flash for the front camera.

Xiaomi Mi 6X with 20MP front and rear cameras teased, Mi Band 3 could be announced alongside on April 25

Last week Xiaomi scheduled an event on April 25th. Now the company has confirmed that it will indeed unveil the Mi 6X at the event. It also said that it will feature 20-megapixel cameras on the front and back. The phone is rumored to feature a 20-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 8-megapixel camera.

Xiaomi schedules an event on April 25 to introduce a new smartphone, Mi 6X expected

Xiaomi introduced its Mi MIX 2S smartphone in China last month. Now the has scheduled an event  on April 25th to introduced a new Mi series smartphone, which could be Mi 6X that was certified by TENAA recently. The event takes place at Wuhan University, the alma mater of the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in Hubei province Wuhan, China. Xiaomi Surge S2 Octa-Core SoC could be announced at MWC 2018, power Mi 6X / Mi A2

Xiaomi introduced the Surge S1, its first in-house Octa-Core SoC  at an event in China back in February last year, which powers the Mi 5c. Now details about its successor Surge S2 has surfaced. According to reports from China, the Surge S2 will be based on TSMC 16nm process technology compared to 28nm in the predecessor.
