The new Chatrooms feature lets you Chat with people, share your location, send virtual gifts, and more. The new update also brings improvements and bug fixes. Sony Socialife or Sony’s news app that comes per-loaded on Xperia smartphones, is not exclusive to Xperia smartphones anymore. The Japanese manufacturer has released the app on Google Play for all Android smartphones running on Android 4.1 or later. The app crossed 10 million downloads recently, which now has over 13 million downloads, says the company. Looks like it is still exclusive to Sony Xperia tablets. Google has started rolling out a new Google + update (version 4.3) for Android, that brings a lot of new photo editing features, new filters, snap-seed-inspired tools and more. The main feature is the non-destructive photo editing, that lets you backup full-resolution photos from your desktop, edit them on your phone, add edit the same photo with some finishing touches from your tablet. Google Nexus 5, that was launched with Android 4.4 (KitKat) was the only to come with Google Now Launcher to directly access Google Now from the home screen. Earlier this month there were reports about the launcher coming too Google Play. We even saw APKs to side-load the launcher on other devices. Nokia has just announced its first series of Android powered smartphones, but with a heavy layer of customization. Nokia are using just the Android and instead of using Google’s cloud service, Nokia are using Microsoft’s cloud service. In addition to that, they are also heavily customizing the UI which looks like a mix of Asha’s Fastlane UI and Microsoft Windows Phone 8 UI.

Back in December 2013, Fleksy Keyboard, one of the popular third party keyboards in the Android market announced an SDK for iOS apps which allows the apps to use Fleksy Keyboard inside the application. Apple imposes strict rules on third party content inside its core features and that is on of the reasons Fleksy has to be used by the developer in his application(and not by the user like in Android).

It crossed 5 million users in just four months after its launch on 12th December 2012 and has tripled its user base within 9 months.
