Cleartrip for Android v3.0 update brings train ticket booking and PNR status check

Earlier this year Cleartrip refreshed its Android app with a redesigned user interface, Smart Home page, Split Screen Search, offline support and lots more new features. Within few month Cleartrip has released a version 3.0 update for Android that now lets you book your train tickets directly from the app. They don’t charge a service fee for booking train tickets, so it’s exactly as the cost you pay while booking it from IRCTC online. Similar to the Cleartrip online train ticket booking, one-time sync is required between your Cleartrip and IRCTC accounts. Skitch for iPhone and iPad v2.6 update brings adjustable canvas, better arrows and more

Evernote has updated the Skitch app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.6 that brings new features including Adjustable Canvas that lets you add room at the edges of your image, map, or screenshot. If you annotate beyond the edge of your image, the canvas will now automatically expand to give you more space. The shapes have a much smaller minimum size in this version that makes it easier to highlight only the information you want to change or clarify. Microsoft has updated its OneNote app for Android, iPhone and iPad that lets you see notes the same across all clients on different platforms (Windows, Windows Phone, Android, iOS), it will also render ink such as its size, color, and shape. The version 2.0 update for iPhone and iPad brings new formatting options and the iPad app lets you access rich formatting options easily. The Android app version 15.0 update brings option to record audio notes, Home screen widgets and lots more features. Facebook v5.0 for Windows Phone 8 out of beta, brings new design, features and improvements

Facebook 5.0 beta for Windows Phone 8 users was released back in May. Now the app is finally out of beta and is available for download. This update brings lot of new features including a user interface, improved navigation, support for high-res pictures, post sharing, Facebook Timeline view, and more. Skype for Android has received a major update to version 4.0.0.17847 that brings a redesigned user interface that now looks more like the Skype Windows Phone app. The app has been completely refreshed from the ground up that makes it faster and more reliable. It gives you easy access to the recent conversations, video calls, voice calls and more. Skype says that they have concentrated more on stability, performance, and load time. The new update also offers unlimited video messaging that was available in for the v4.9 update for the iPhone and iPad. MapmyIndia, popular for its GPS navigation and mobile apps has launched MapmyIndia Locate that would let the users share the location and to stay connected with their friends and family. You can add up to 3 people to locate, set/configure times and days of the week when their friends/family can locate them. Once it’s done you can report the visits by checking-in to the app at the locations or the app automatically picks up location. Vine for Android v1.2 update brings option to use front-facing camera

Twitter has update the Vine app for Android that finally brings option to use the front-facing camera to record videos. You can now click the camera switch button in the recording mode to switch the camera. The Vine for iPhone got this feature the version 1.1 update last month. This update also brings new upload manager for unsubmitted posts, improvements in settings and faster camera loading time. Facebook begins Android Beta Program, v3.4 Beta brings new features

Facebook has started their first Android Beta Program that would let the beta testers to test the app before it is released for everyone. The version 3.4 beta for Android brings new features for Both the Facebook app and the Facebook Home including option to share News Feed stories in a private message, Option to organize your apps with folders in Facebook Home and lots more. Firefox Beta for Android updated with new Awesome Bar, updated RSS feed reader and more

Firefox has updated the beta version of the Android app to version 23 that brings lot of new features. The Awesome Bar now automatically hides while not in use, to make your entire small screen available for browsing. It also includes domain autocomplete, which will complete your URL destination as you type. The update also lets you add default search provider directly from the add-ons manager and adds updated RSS feed reader to create a simple way to subscribe to an RSS feed. The update also brings support for Turkish and Hungarian locales.

New Android 4.3 camera and gallery app emerges [Download]

It was rumoured that Android 4.3 will be launched with the stock HTC One version, but there was no trace of the new version of Android when the device was launched recently. Recently the camera interface for the Android 4.3 was leaked by someone having 4.3 running on a Nexus 4 at a Thai expo. The new UI was supposed to come with Android 4.3, instead Google has decided to put some new features of Android 4.3 on these phones instead of the complete new update. Now, we have the apk and you can install it in any device just like you install any application.

Facebook adds Like Button sticker in Messenger for Android, iPhone and iPad

Facebook has started rolling out Like button sticker for the Android and iOS apps in Messaging. This works on both Facebook app and the separate Facebook Messenger app. This lets you send a quick Thumbs Up symbol to others in on tap quickly. This would be definitely useful to quickly reply with a Like button instead of a long message to accept something. Facebook says that this feature is part of a recent update, according to Techcrunch. Vine for Android updated with better Search, Facebook sharing and more

Twitter released the Vine video sharing app for Android earlier this month. The app has been updated to version 1.1 that brings option to search for people and hashtags and ability to share to Facebook . This also improves the capture speed, quality and better audio/video sync. It also has several bug fixes and UI improvements, says the changelog. Option to use the phone’s front-facing camera and option to tag people in your post are not available yet. Vine 1.1 for iPhone got an update last month that brought option to use the front-facing camera to record videos and tagging function. Aviary says that they have 50% users on Android, which is up from 30% back in January. The new app is 10% lesser in size and has lot of improvements that makes the app faster.
