Facebook has updated the Facebook Home app for Android that brings a favorites tray that shows a row of apps at the bottom of every screen in the app launcher. You press and hold the app icon you want to move and drag it in or out of the favorites tray. You can also rearrange the placement of the apps within the favorites tray. Twitter for Windows Phone has been updated to version 3.1 that brings filter for photos finally that lets you apply different filter when you upload a photo. It also brings Lens app integration that lets you launch the capture and upload photo on Twitter directly, option to play embedded Vine videos directly from within tweets and lots more. The Gmail app version 4.5 for Android started rolling out for Android earlier this week, now the update is available for iPhone and iPad. Adobe Systems has released the Adobe Reader app for Windows Phone 8 finally. This app lets you View and Open PDF documents including password protected documents, search the text for specific words, zoom in on a page, Navigate docs easily with thumbnails, continuous scroll mode, Hyperlinks, bookmarks and more. Google has started rolling out the Gmail v4.5 update for Android. Google announced a new update for Gmail app for Android, iPhone and iPad last week. The new update brings new Inbox with tabs and categories such as Social, Promotions, Updates and Forums, slide-out navigation and lots more new features. Now there is a separate section for action confirmations in the settings. Now there is a pull to refresh option removing the refresh button and the compose and search buttons have moved to the top. Twitter has finally launched the Vine Video sharing app for Android. The app was first launched for iPhone earlier this year. Vine let users upload a video clip up to 6 seconds directly from their mobile phone that loops automatically.It even got an update last month that brought option to use the front-facing camera to record videos and tagging function. Tata Sky Mobile app has been updated to version 3.0. This is a major update since its launch last year. This update brings WiFi remote that lets you control your Tata Sky+ HD box over WiFi. You can swipe to change channels and volume, change channels by tapping on your channel logo and more. Google has announced an update for the Gmail app for Android, iPhone and iPad that bring new Inbox with tabs and categories. Incoming mails are classified into categories such as Promotions, Social and Updates. You can choose to use categories as inbox tabs, and as labels. This would let you view mails that are important to you and read messages of a similar type. You can use both the Inbox categories and labs separately.

Joiku, a Finland-based company has launched the JoikuShare Pro for Android. The JoikuShare app for Android was released last month and the Pro account was available through in-app purchase. Now the standalone JoikuShare Pro app is available for download from the Google Play Store. Jet Airways has partnered with Nokia to launched the official app for Windows Phone. This app would let you book tickets, check flight status, manage their JetPrivilege account, avail special offers and more directly from your device. It also offers flight updates and notifications with the ability to pin the booked ticket to the home screen for easy access. Even though they have partnered with Nokia, the app is not exclusive to Lumia devices and is available for all the Windows Phone devices. Chrome for Android has been updated to version 27.0.1453.90 that brings better search that would let you view and refine your query directly in the omnibox instead of viewing just a search URL. This version also brings full screen support on phones and tab history on Android tablets that was available in the Chrome 27 beta that released last month.
