Twitter for Android got a major update to version 4.1.2 last week that brought lot of new features including Richer search results, Direct Messages sync across devices and lots more new features. Twitter has pushed a minor update to the Android app that brings New reply composer on the bottom in the Tweet details and option to share a tweet as DM in the new version 4.1.3 update. Google Chrome for iPhone and iPad updated with Google Apps integration, data compression and more

Google has released an update for the Chrome app for iPhone and iPad to version 28.0.1500.12 that brings Google Apps integration, fullscreen browsing to iPad  and option sign in to other Google apps with a single click. This would let you open Maps, YouTube, Google+, and Google Drive links in the dedicated apps app instead of browser. Google promises that more apps would be available soon. WhatsApp moves to subscription-based model on iOS at $0.99/year


WhatsApp collected for $ 0.99 as a one time payment for the iPhone app. Now the company has changed their  business model that would offer the app free for the first year after that the user would be charged $.99  (~Rs. 55) per year after that, similar to other platforms such as Android and Windows Phone. If you had purchased the app already or downloaded the app when it went free it will remain free for the rest of your life. Rovio, the creators of the popular Angry Birds franchise has published Tiny Thief, a new game for Android, iPhone and iPad. Rovio published Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage last month through Rovio Stars, the new mobile game publishing program. In this game you play as Tiny Thief, an unconventional hero who uses cunning and trickery to out-smart his opponents across six epic medieval adventures. You need to solve the puzzles using interactive gameplay elements. There are over 3500 animations in the game that offers a fun filled gameplay. Twitter has updated the apps for Android, iPhone and iPad apps that brings direct messages (DM) sync across all your devices, so when you read a DM on your a device, it will be marked as read in other devices. Twitter for Android v4.1.2, iPhone and iPad v5.8 update brings improved search results that shows expanded user result with full bio when you search for people on Twitter. It also shows similar accounts when you swipe to the left, and a new in-app indicator in search results will show you when there are new Tweets for your query. The iPhone app now has built-in Tweet composer that appears when you tap to see details.

Camera360 has partnered with Nokia to pre-install the Camera360 app on the Lumia 925, the latest Lumia smartphone. The app would come pre-loaded on the device following its sales start in China from 28th June 2013. So it is clear that only new devices would come with the app pre-installed, since we did not find the app on our device that we unboxed last month. Camera360 has also announced that the app has been optimized for the device for better images. Sony Mobile rolls out my Xperia remote security service globally

Sony has announced that they have started rolling out free remote security service called my Xperia for Xperia devices globally. Sony rolled it out starting from Nordic countries back in January 2013. Now after several months of beta testing and tweaks, the app has been graduated to stable version. This would let the Xperia users find the device remotely when it is lost, protect private information by locking the device or delete all the information on the device.
