Motorola confirms Android 7.0 Nougat for range of smartphones, roll out begins Q4 2016
Google started rolling out Android 7.0 (Nougat) update for Nexus devices starting from August. HTC and Sony already confirmed list of devices that will get the update, Moto has officially announced the list of smartphones that will get the Android 7.0 update. This includes the Moto Z series, Moto G4 series, new Moto X series and more. Sadly the Moto G (3rd Gen) and even the latest Moto E3 Power is not in the list. Google just unveiled its Pixel XL smartphone along with the Pixel in the new ‘Pixel series’ at its San Francisco event. It packs a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat). It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the Pixel XL. Facebook Messenger Lite for Android launched
Facebook has launched Messenger Lite app on Android for emerging markets such as Kenya, Tunisia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Venezuela. The Messenger Lite uses less data and is designed to work in areas with slower internet connections.

TCL 950 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM and TCL 580 announced
TCL has introduced top-end TCL 950 smartphone and the budget TCL 580 smartphone in China. The 950 is the same BlackBerry DTEK60 that will be unveiled in the coming weeks, but this has a 1080 AMOLED display instead of Quad HD display.
