Amazon Appstore is back with another free apps offer. This month it offers 24 paid Android apps and games worth $105 for free on the Amazon AppStore starting today till April 19th. These apps are usually priced between US$ 0.99 and US$ 19.99. Some popular apps include, Runtastic Pro GPS, Oxford Spanish Dictionary, Mobile Doc Scanner (MDScan) and games include, Amazing Alex Premium, Pudding Monsters HD and Prince of Persia Classic. Lava has launched Iris X1 Atom, latest smartphone in the Iris X1 series. This budget smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA screen, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in future. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PureCel sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. Cyanogen to pre-install Microsoft apps later this year

Cyanogen Inc. and Microsoft Corp. have announced a partnership to integrate several Microsoft apps on its Cyanogen OS later this year. This will include Microsoft services such as Bing services, Skype, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, and Microsoft Office. Microsoft will create native integration on Cyanogen OS, said the company. YU has started rolling out Cyanogen OS 12 update  based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) for the YU YUREKA smartphone. It was submitted for certification earlier this week and got approved soon. OnePlus One got this update a couple of days back. Cyanogen OS 12 brings highly customized extra theming options that can be applied per application level and paid themes. It also includes CyanogenMail, powered by Boxer with Exchange support, multiple account integration, canned responses for quick replies, select a different LED color for email notifications and more. Here we have the benchmarks.  It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with four ARM Cortex A7 cores and Mali 400 GPU, similar to most other budget smartphones.It has 4.2 Inch (1280 × 768 pixels) display, 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with InLife UI.
