Samsung Galaxy Gear Hands On

Much has been leaked about Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Today at the Unpacked Event in Berlin, we finally got a chance to see for ourselves if the Korean giant’s first efforts to enter into the world of wearables would be something special and here are our first impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Gear. Shaped like a conventional watch, the Gear is chunky to say the least. It might not be the most visually appealing smartwatch but it’s not an eye sore either. Sony launches MDR-10 for purest, truest headphone sounds

Sony has been busy at the IFA launching a wide variety of products ranging from 4K Bravia TVs to Xperia Z1 that sports a 20.7MP camera. Along with major launches, it launched various accessories too. The Sony MDR-10 series of headphones falls under the premium category that brings lifelike detail. Sony’s main aim with this premium series of headphones is to deliver music to the listeners the way the creators created it.

Sony Wireless NFC Speaker SRS-BTV5 Unboxing

Sony has always been known for making audio accessories for its TVs and home entertainment systems, and to an extent, even for its yesteryear Walkman series of phones but it gradually reduced until recently when they released smartphone focused accessories. These devices were launched to complement the new Xperia smartphones that come with the built-in NFC functionality. One of those accessories launched is the Sony Wireless NFC speaker codenamed SRS-BTV5(priced at Rs. 3,990) that works with any smartphone with Bluetooth A2DP. Nokia’s upcoming “Treasure tag” Bluetooth accessory lets you find lost items with an app

Nokia is reportedly working on a range of Bluetooth 4.0 low power accessories, ever since they revealed that their phones will support the technology starting with the Amber update. One of them has been detailed by The Verge, citing sources familiar with this device. This accessory, called the “Treasure Tag” apparently is a small box that connects to the phone with Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, and once paired lets the phone track it using Bluetooth as well as GPS using a special app.

Sony unveils the SmartWatch 2 for Android with one touch NFC

Smartwatches have always been a niche at best. Recently spurred into prominence by crowd funded hardware innovators like Pebble, amidst rumours of Apple being interested in a similar device, the smart watch is suddenly cool again, and Sony wants in on the market enthusiasm. While they pioneered a bluetooth watch since 2007, Sony has unveiled its latest iteration of the same – the Sony SmartWatch 2. Made for Android devices running on v4.0 ICS or later, the watch sports NFC one touch pairing and promises several utilitarian functionality to grace your wrist. BlackBerry Music Gateway Unboxing and Demo

BlackBerry Z10 had launched in India with a hefty price tag, and BlackBerry knows that people who buy expensive phones will need complimenting accessories too, and hence came a bunch of audio accessories in India, along with the Z10. We had taken a look at the Mini Stereo Speaker, which was a compact clip-like Bluetooth stereo speaker with auxiliary audio output, and now we are taking a look at the BlackBerry Music Gateway, which partly mimics the auxiliary functionality of the stereo speaker, in a much smaller form factor. Jabra has launched Jabra TOUR, Bluetooth in-car speakerphone in India. It has large 40mm 3-watt speaker that offers superior audio output and has HD Voice microphone for enhanced noise cancellation capabilities. This also lets you launch the Siri app on their iPhones to get driving directions, create quick calendar entries and more functions with a dedicated Voice Command button. LG has launched ND8520 Speaker Dock for iPhone and iPad in India.
