Nokia N95 8GB gets firmware update 31.0.015

The Nokia N95 8GB is indeed a wonderful device and what else can be more welcome for a device of this stature other than a firmware update. Close on the heels of updates for N79, 5800 Xm, N95 Classic, Nokia has announced the availability of the Firmware update version 31.0.015 from the current available version 30.0.018. This update is available for unbranded phones only and we fellow Desi’s don’t have to worry as we don’t have to bother about locked or unlocked Nokia phones. This update of the N95 does not have UDP [User Data Preservation]. So don’t forget to back up all your important data.

The update itself is of miniscule nature and consists of preliminarily only few minor cosmetic changes and browser stability and puts to rest some constant Error messages that kept popping after the last update happened.

Well the BIG MOMMA wont be a fairy tale after all. After VIKY posted it a long time back. it all assumed to be a fair rumor. Ofcourse it had to., The N96 was like a BILLION DOLLAR BABY with those specs that would make HILLARY quit the presidential elections..The N96 looks similar to the N95 but is inspired by the new nseries design like the N81.

N95 NAM Black and 1900Mhz 3G Power!

Why is Nokia so interested in the American Market? This is yet another US Edition N95. But since it’s based on the N95 Classic and not the newer N95-3 it seems to have been largely ignored. It even uses the same old 950mA battery to go with it! Bummer!! The only major difference seem to be that it has a black back body and is also optimized to work with the North American Network – hence the name.

The N95 NAM’s camera has 5 mega pixels of clarity, featuring a 2.6″ display and Carl Zeiss optics. Shoot in DVD-like quality video up to 30 frames per second. Continue reading “N95 NAM Black and 1900Mhz 3G Power!”

Nokia launches N95 multimedia phone

Nokia N95 is a descendant of Nokia N80 and offers a first of its kind 2-way sliding construction along with many other high-end features. The integrated GPS functionality has been becoming increasingly popular in hand-held devices. Embracing that trend, Nokia N95 comes with an integrated GPS module which working alongside with the preinstalled Maps application can help you navigate through the busy city streets as easy as you would with a in-dash automobile GPS system. Besides that, it’s the first HSDPA (3.5G) mobile of the Finnish manufacturer. HSDPA is not so wide spread right now but undoubtedly it would be the leading standard for fast data transfers to mobile devices in the future. Besides HSDPA, Nokia N95 features all other current connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, 3G and EDGE, quad-band GSM, stereo Bluetooth, Infrared and USB 2.0 plus a TV-out port.
n95_low_videoscreen.jpg
The all-around musical experience is enhanced by the presence of the built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm audio jack for using regular headphones, FM radio and microSD memory card slot which currently means that the mobile can accommodate up to 2GB of additional memory besides the 160MB internal one. In an attempt to turn it into an all-time reigning multimedia champion, Nokia engineers have integrated into N95 an impressive 5 megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss optics, autofocus and the capability of recording videos at DVD-like quality.

Having in mind all that, it comes as a pleasant surprise that the mobile has rather reasonable dimensions, being slimmer and even lighter than Nokia N80. The device is equipped with a large 2.6″ TFT display with a QVGA (240×320) resolution.

Nokia N95 would be available in the first quarter of 2007 and is expected to hit the shelves at a price of 550 EUR
