Chinese search engine giant Baidu enters into the Mobile OS market with its Yi OS that is based on Android. It was announced at Baidu World event in Beijing and it includes several Baidu apps such as Ting, their social music service, Shen Bian app similar to Google places, maps and a book-reading app. The core features such as integrated voice search would remain the same. Fujitsu has announced a new Symbian running flip phone, the F-022, for the Chinese market. The phone is a result of a collaboration with the fashion brand Folli Follie and is aimed towards “Fashion Conscious” users.
Nokia has announced two Symbian^3 phones Nokia T7-00 and 702T for china. These are TD-SCDMA (Chinese version of W-CDMA) devices. The Nokia T7-00 looks similar to Nokia N8 but the hardware differs from it. The Nokia 702T is the Chinese variant of Nokia E6-00. The Nokia T7-00 leaked this march via OVI publishing tool. State owned telecom operator , China Mobile , has finalized a deal with Apple to bring a 4G enabled iPhone to the country. No more details have been announced so far but it lends further credibility to the rumors that Apple are working at integrating 4th generation network technology like LTE into their devices.
