Android Market on the web lets you view apps on web but only few top free and paid apps. The marketplace itself says that for full up to date list you will have to check Android Marketplace through your Android Handset. But what if you want to browse the apps from web? The phone that brought Android to the forefront, T-Mobile G1 gets a second lease of life with confirmed reports of Android 2.0 or 2.1 update over-the-air for an eclair build.
The version of the update has not been clear but its atleast going to be Android 2.0, and if the owners are lucky they will get 2.1, the version which is running on Google Nexus One. Both the updates are to be done Over-The-Air (OTA).

Here is a device that people have been waiting for, but it seems its going to land up only in the hands of few invites, selected by Google on criteria which is best left to them. Latest buzz on the web world is that Nexus One would be available as an invitation only retail sale from 5th January 2010.

My friend, Ranesh Kumar considered picking up a new Nokia handset before he heard about the new Motorola Droid. Just last week, he bought two Motorola Droids from Verizon, one for himself and one for his fiancée.
Ranesh was a Nokia fan for a long time and had owned few Nokia’s including an E70. But he made the transition to Verizon for a decent deal on a Voyager two years ago (because he likes qwerty keyboards and that was the only one he liked at the time). Ranesh couldn’t wait for a decent Nokia device to hit the market he liked, so he took the plunge. When he tested out the N97, he was terribly disappointed with the overall OS and decided to hold out for the Christmas season of this year to see what was around the corner and settled on the Motorola Droid running the Android 2.0 OS. There are so many mobile platforms out there – Symbian , Android, iPhone , Blackberry , Windows Mobile , Palm , Maemo and now Bada. The handset market which was once dominated by Symbian and WinMo now has fierce competition from iPhone and Blackberry. Android is growing fast too. Maemo was was never destined to be used in a phone until the Nokia N900. Palm was almost out of the radar until the Palm Pre which came with the WebOS platform. But which is the best ?
