LG has launched the world’s first 3D smartphone, Optimus 3D in India. This phone is also the world’s first phone to feature tri-dual (dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory) architecture. Nokia has announced Nokia 600 smartphone that runs on Belle and it claims that it is their loudest smartphone ever. The loudspeaker has audio output of 106 phon, similar to the one in their feature phone Nokia X1-01. This phone has NFC support, FM transmitter and FM receiver with the internal antenna, so that you don’t need headphones to listen to the radio. Nokia has just announced the 701 smartphone. It is a smartphone that follows Nokia’s new numbering system and runs on Symbian’s latest Belle version.
Nokia just announced the Nokia 700 over at an event in Hong Kong. The Nokia 700 is said to be the smallest smartphone in the world and comes with a 3.2″ nHD AMOLED display. The processor behind the scenes is a 1Ghz unit. The Nokia 700 runs on the Symbian Belle OS which was also announced today.
Nokia today announced the next update to its Symbian operating system at an event in Hong Kong. Called Symbian Belle , the UI has been completely revamped using Qt and includes an Android style drop down notification bar. Based on the Qt , the interface is faster than ever and features improvements all around.

Unwired View reports that the next generation iPhone might be packing in dual mode GSM + CDMA capabilities. App usage logs for a high profile iOS developer indicate two different sets of MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code) codes from the same device. The codes correspond to AT&T and Verizon.
Swype keyboard for Android has been updated to version 3.25 that bring new features like editing and application gestures, Dictionary management and Swype connect. With Android being affected by various malwares these days, it is necessary to have an Anti-Virus application installed on your device to protect the device from these malwares and also for the security for your Android smartphone or tablet. When I was searching for an app to secure my phone from these malwares I came across AVG Anti-Virus which had loads of features in it’s free version including remote location of your device.
One of the main issues of modern smartphones is battery life. The more we move ahead the more it seems that manufacturers are cramming juice draining features in their devices, and disregarding how long these last under normal usage. GPS, bigger screens, accelerometers, cameras, faster processors,…, all of these are aimed to enhance our mobility and yet cripple us a mere couple of hours afterwards as the dreaded “Battery Low” warning starts flashing in front of our eyes. Enter Mugen Batteries. I like to think of them as the modern day geek version of a knight in shining armor, riding on a white horse and whipping their swords to decapitate poor battery life all across the world.
A couple of months ago, I received the Mugen extended OEM-sized battery for the Desire Z for review. At the time, I was about to open my pharmacy, and move from spending most of my time at home, where power sources are abundant and time to charge is not a hindrance, to spending 12 hours a day working, plus more than an hour driving, and generally not really having the time to care about charging my phone except at night. My Desire Z had to be accessible, still running, whenever, wherever, as long as I was up. The Mugen extended battery had better step up to the challenge.
