Opera Software has grand plans for CTIA 2011 starting next week in DisneyLand .. err Orlando , Florida. The browser maker is going to launch the next versions of the world’s most popular mobile browsers -Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11 at the event. Acer has launched a new Android handset in India in the form of the Acer Liquid Metal. The Android 2.2 phone is powered by a Snapdragon processor and boasts of HSPA 14.4 Mbps support. It has a 5 MP Camera which also records video in 720p. The battery life promised is about 8 hours of talktime.

Nokia is planning to launch a new Symbian device at CTIA on March 21 happening at Orlando, Florida. Nokia’s performance in the American market has been disappointing compared to other major mobile markets such as Europe, China and India. Looks like Nokia’s new CEO Stephen Elop has plans to refocus on the American market which is one of the biggest mobile markets.

HP TouchPad is expected to release in June with a price tag of just $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version and $599 for the 32GB variant. HP is also expected to announce a 7 inch tablet soon.
Back in February, HP announced its much-awaited tablet, the HP TouchPad. This device is powered by the HP webOS operating system and it features a 9.7 inch XGA capacitive display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for live video calling and so on.
