HTC Desire X now available in India for Rs. 19799


HTC Desire X is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. HTC announced the Desire X in August and it comes with a 4.0-inch (800 X 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense 4.0 UI and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash. Karbonn A21 and A9+ with 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0 coming soon

Looks like Karbonn is on a launching spree. The Karbonn A11 that was listed online earlier this went on sale today. Now, the Karbonn A9+ is listed on Flipkart and the Karbonn A21 appears on the Karbonn site. The A9+ is the successor of the Karbonn A9 that was launched in July. The A9+ has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) IPS display, while the A21 has a 4.5-inch (540 ×960 pixels) IPS display. Both these devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor (According to Wikipedia, A9+ is powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor, but we have to wait for the official launch since any one can edit these details). NTT Docomo unveils 16 new devices including 9 Smartphones and a Tablet

Japan’s largest telecom operator NTT Docomo has unveiled 16 new devices including 9 Smartphones and a Tablet. Some popular phones include, Samsung Galaxy Note II SC-02E and Galaxy S3 α SC-03E in the ‘docomo NEXT Series’. They have also announced Sony Xperia AX SO-01E and LG Optimus LIFE L-02E in the ‘docomo with series’. LG announced that the LG Optimus G L-01E would got on sale on from NTT Docomo on October 19th. HTC opens its first ‘concept store’ in Delhi

HTC yesterday opened its first concept store in South Extension, New Delhi in India to show off its top of the line handsets. The store places an emphasis on HTC’s audio and imaging capabilities by providing two distinct sections in the store.

Microsoft’s Czech Unit Reportedly Confirms Office for iOS Coming in March 2013

In the past, there have been many rumors about Microsoft releasing Office for iOS. Today, The Verge reports that a Microsoft product manager confirmed that the company is working on versions of Microsoft Office for both iOS and Android, which is expected to be released in March 2013.  The comments were made to Czech site IHNED.cz [Google translation] at a press event in that country.

“In addition to Windows, Office will be also available on other operating systems, Windows Phone, Windows RT, Mac OS, Android, iOS and Symbian,” says Microsoft, while separately noting that there will also be a new version of Office Web Apps too. […]

The press release also mentions that Office 2013 will be made available to businesses in December, with a consumer launch scheduled for the end of February 2013. “Office 365 services and other Office products for mobile (phones and tablets) will be released from March 2013,” says Microsoft.

The Verge also says that it saw a press release from Microsoft’s team in the Czech Republic confirming the launch plans. Back in February, The Daily claimed that it had hands-on time with a working prototype of the software but Microsoft, but the company denied the report.


Vodafone to accept Aadhaar as Identity and Address proof for a new connection

Vodafone has been appointed as the official Authentication Service Agency (ASA) and Authentication User Agency (AUA) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). They launched the Proof of Concept (PoC) for use of Aadhaar as valid Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) using the Aadhaar online authentication procedure in Andhra Pradesh. Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini specifications and image leaked
