Google Nexus 7 Unboxing

I was recently in the US on a short visit and managed to pick up the Google Nexus 7 first Android Tablet to run on Android 4.1 JellyBean. Here is a quick unboxing video of the this tiny little tablet from Google & Asus which is priced at $199 (excluding tax and shipping). This 7 inch tablet has a back-lit IPS display which sports a resolution of 1280×800 pixels

Sony Xperia T spotted in the wild ahead of announcement

As part of its increasing NXT range of phone, Sony seems to be all set to announce the Xperia T as revealed in this set of photos by Nixanbal . The phone which was previously leaked as the Xperia Mint  by Mobile -Review  is powered by the Qualcomm S4 processor.

Evernote for iPhone and iPad v4.3 update brings easier editing and improvements

The Evernote app for iPhone and iPad have been updated to version 4.3 that brings new features including better editing that lets you edit a note just by tapping into the note’s body, better stability and improved performance and more. The editing features also keeps track of where you tap in the note and places the cursor in that spot. The Evernote v4.2 was launched in May. Microsoft renames Windows Phone Marketplace to Windows Phone Store

As part of its rebranding and simplification efforts, Microsoft plans to rename Windows Phone Marketplace to Windows Phone Store on its smartphones. The new branding is expected to be rolled out with Windows Phone 7.8 on current devices and with Windows Phone 8 on next gen smartphones.

LG QuickMemo feature coming to entire line of Optimus L-Series smartphones globally

LG has announced that the QuickMemo feature would be available for its entire line of Optimus L-Series smartphones, the Optimus L7, L5 and L3 through a maintenance release upgrade. It is available in certain regions including India on the Optimus L5 and the Optimus L7 that runs on ICS with the Optimus UI 3.0 that launched recently, and would be available globally by the end of 3rd quarter. The app is already available for Optimus 4X HD, Optimus Vu, Optimus LTE, Optimus Tag and Optimus LTE II. ARM unveils second generation Mali-T600 GPUs for tablets and smartphones

ARM has announced 3 new GPUs, Mali-T624, Mali-T628 and Mali-T678 in the Mali-T600 series for tablets, smartphones and smart-TVs. These would offer 50% better performance and would include, Adaptive Scalable Texture Compression (ASTC), a texture compression technique and are based on the Mali Midgard architecture. Next-gen Xiaomi Phone spotted undergoing certification

Last year’s Xiaomi phone created a splash in the media due to the great combination of low price point and high end specs. Looks like the Chinese manufacturer is about to repeat its success with the next generation version. Images and specs revealed during the certification at TENAA suggest that the device going under the code name ‘2012051’ will pack a CDMA radio.
