Intex Aqua i2 with 5-inch display, Android 4.2 spotted on official website
Intex had already launched a range of smartphones in the Aqua i Series, including the popular Aqua i7. The Intex Aqua I-4+ in the I series was launched last week, now the Intex Aqua i2 has been listed on the official Intex website as coming soon. It has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to its predecessor. Archos to unveil SmartWatches at CES 2014 starting from 50 GBP
Archos, popular for its Android smartphones and tablets has announced that it would unveil a range of SmartWatches at the CES 2014. These SmartWatches would lets you connect to both Android and iOS smartphones and would start under 50 GBP (Rs. 5,100), said the company. We saw the pebble Smartwatch with E-Ink display. Samsung introduced the Galaxy Gear earlier this year and Sony came up with SmartWatch 2. But the Archos SmartWatch would be cheaper than all these. Google, Audi to announce Android-Based in-car infotainment system at CES 2014, says WSJ
Apple introduced iOS in the car back in June 2013 for iPhone screen mirroring on compatible in-car displays. Google would partner with Audi to develop in-car entertainment and information systems based on Android, reports WSJ. The partnership is expected to be announced at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas next week. Audi is also expected to demonstrate new technologies that allow cars to drive themselves in certain situations and for short periods, and is expected to announce the roadmap of new models that would arrive in the next four or five years, the report adds. Google announced Motorola’s next budget smartphone device – Motorola Moto G sometime back and it is scheduled to arrive in India during January 2014. Moto G is budget minded mid-range smartphone that makes little compromise on the specifications as it sports a 4.5inch 720p display, has a quad-core processor and is fueled by a 2070mAh battery and India is likely to receive a dual-SIM variant.

Asus CES 2014 teaser hints at 4, 5 and 6-inch smart devices
Asus released the first teaser for the CES 2014 last week titled” Green or Blue? One or Two?”, which hinted at Android and Windows dual-boot tablet. The company posted teaser 2 titled “What’s your number?” recently, which has different colored balls with numbers 4, 5 and 6 that hits at smartphones or phablets with different screen sizes. More Huawei Ascend Mate 2 images leak, likely to feature the same 6.1-inch 720p screen
Last week images of the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 surfaced, but the display resolution was not confirmed. Now Engadget Chinese reports that the Ascend Mate 2 would have the same 6.1-inch 720p screen present on the Ascend Mate, but this would use a faster 1.6 GHz processor and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI on top. More images of the phone confirms the 13-megapixel rear camera through the camera UI on the phone. The images show shiny back with patterns and chrome finish on the sides. Micromax Bolt A59 and Bolt A28 with 3.5-inch display, 1 GHz processor coming soon
Micromax is all set to launch the Bolt A59 and Bolt A28, two new smartphones in the Bolt series. These smartphones have been listed on Flipkart and packs a 3.5-inches (320 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and powered by a 1 GHz processor. The Micromax Bolt A59 runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), features a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Bolt A28 runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), packs a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. 11 Micromax Canvas smartphones rumored to get Android 4.4 KitKat update
Micromax offered Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the A116 Canvas HD back in June. But both the Canvas 4 and the Canvas Turbo were launched on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with no sign of future upgrades even though these have built-on OTA update support. MMXNewscaster, popular for smartphone leaks has tweeted that Micromax plans to release Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for 11 Canvas devices and 3 Canvas smartphones would be upgraded to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). If this turns out to be true, its an awesome news for the Canvas users, since they would get the Android 4.4 directly, skipping the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the Titanium S7. The phone comes with 1GB of RAM and packs a 1800 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Star Pro Review
Samsung launched the Galaxy Star (GT-S5282), the company’s cheapest Android smartphone earlier this year. It launched the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro (GT-S7262), an upgraded version of the Star few months back, with a large screen, more internal storage and a slightly better battery. My Vodafone app arrives for Windows Phone 8 devices in India
Vodafone India launched My Vodafone self service app for iOS, Android and Blackberry platforms earlier this year. Now the app is available for Windows Phone platform. Just like other platforms, this lets you pay phone bills, recharge prepaid account, track service requests, subscribe to the best offers and more. You need a valid My Vodafone Login ID and password to use the app. A lot of Windows 8 smartphones including the latest Lumia 1520 did not support the app. Hope Vodafone India would upgrade the app to support more WP8 smartphones. Aircel appoints ZTE for 4G network deployment starting from Tamil Nadu and Chennai
Aircel has appointed China’s ZTE Corporation to supply and deploy its 4G network in India. ZTE had already partnered with Aitel to deploy 4G network in Kolkata and Chandigarh. We already reported that Aircel would start 4G LTE trial starting from Chennai by the end of 2013. Now Aircel has announced that LTE deployment will be initiated in Chennai, Rest of Tamil Nadu (RoTN) and few other business critical circles.
