Huawei calls Apple the “Fruit” and Samsung “Some song” in its bizarre MWC14 teaser

Huawei is gearing up to introduce a range of new products at the Mobile World Congress event this year, but before doing so, the Chinese company has readied a bizarre teaser to explain the kind of products it is launching. First off, why the video is bizarre is because it uses an “Apple” iPhone with a Siri-like voice assistant, to mock “Apple” and Samsung, calling them the “Fruit” and “Some song” respectively. Nevertheless, it gives us a taste of what we can expect from the company, when it reveals its products at this year’s biggest mobile event, the Mobile World Congress. Here’s the video –

Google acquires a sound based login startup, SlickLogin

Google is trying to compete with Yahoo in the acquisition spree and after a stellar purchase of Nest, a hardware company that produces smart home products, Google has now acquired a software startup – SlickLogin, whose chief area of expertise is a sound based login. Just six months after they showcased their product at TechCrunch Disrupt, Google acquired them.

Airtel reportedly plans to acquire Loop Mobile for Rs. 700 crore

Bharti Airtel is all set to acquire Loop Mobile, according to a recent report from The Economic Times. Airtel would acquire Loop Mobile in a Rs. 700-crore deal, which is expected to be announced later this week, the report adds. Loop Mobile was previously called BPL Mobile when it started its operations in 1995 BPL Mobile and was renamed as Loop Mobile in 2009. Last year Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s first 10-inch waterproof tablet. evleaks has just leaked the specifications of the Xperia Z2 Tablet ahead of MWC 2014. LG has just announced their L Series III smartphone lineup that includes, L40, L70 and L90. These smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). These have seamless layout, delicate finishing, narrow bezel and refined metallic frame to give premium looks similar to the G Series, says LG. It also has Quick Window cover. LG unveiled the Optimus L3, L5 and the L7 at the MWC 2012 and announced the L Series II smartphones at the MWC 2013 last year. Dhingana, popular online music streaming service in India has shut down. Their official website dhingana.com doesn’t say the reason behind the shutdown. This was first reported by Medianama, which said that Dhingana CEO Rohit Bhatia told them back in December that the company was in the process of restructuring its operations, but denied that it is going to shut down. Lenovo launched the Lenovo Vibe Z (K910), the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Vibe series in India earlier this week at a price tag of Rs. Rs. 35,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of the device.  The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.15 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU.
