After yesterday’s report, Airtel has just confirmed that they would acquire Loop Mobile, to become the largest mobile network in Mumbai, by subscribers. It already has 4 million customers in the circle and would add the existing 3 million subscribers from Loop Mobile along with the 2G cell sites in the circle. Airtel reportedly plans to acquire Loop Mobile for Rs. 700 crore
Bharti Airtel is all set to acquire Loop Mobile, according to a recent report from The Economic Times. Airtel would acquire Loop Mobile in a Rs. 700-crore deal, which is expected to be announced later this week, the report adds. Loop Mobile was previously called BPL Mobile when it started its operations in 1995 BPL Mobile and was renamed as Loop Mobile in 2009.
