This update also lets users to share multiple images at the same time, record and share longer video messages and block specific phone numbers. Google now selling Nest Thermostat through Google Play Store in US and UK

Google recently acquired Nest for $3.2 billion dollars and has hinted that Nest will be the core hardware team for Google. Google is now selling Nest Thermostat via its Google Play Store. Nest Thermostat is currently available via Amazon, Nest.com and Lowes. Also, Nest Thermostat becomes the first product to be available in both Apple and Google’s retail site.

Uber offers free rides during polling hours on April 24th in Chennai and Mumbai

Earlier this month Uber announced that it would offer free riders to customers on polling days in Indian cities it operates, today the company has revealed promo codes for Chennai and Mumbai that would let the customers in these cities get a free Uber ride during polling hours (7am-7pm) on April 24th. Uber was initially launched in Delhi back in October last year and expanded to other major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Android outnumbers iOS in mobile ad traffic: Report

Android has surpassed iOS in terms of ad traffic according to a new report from Opera Mediaworks. Almost 43% of all mobile ad impressions came from an Android devices in the first quarter of 2014 as per the latest Mobile Advertising report.

OnePlus, a technology startup that started teasing the OnePlus One smartphone has finally revealed the design and complete features of the phone as it promised. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 ×1080 pixels) Full HD LTPS display from JDI with Corning gorilla glass 3 protection, powered by a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on CyanogenMod 11S based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel camera Sony IMX214 stacked sensor with 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Leaked LG G3 screenshots reveal beautiful new flat design in QHD resolution

Flat design is the current trend in a smartphone user interface and the movement has been going on for a while. Windows Phone, Android 4.0 ICS and more recently, Apple’s iOS 7 all have embraced flat design to different levels, and it looks like OEMs are finally catching up with their own take on a flat UI. Following Samsung’s latest Touchwiz release, leaked screenshots from a LG G3 reveal a similar direction in which the company is going flat on design and, interestingly, in Quad HD resolution(2560×1440) which confirms what we had heard about the G3 earlier. The icons have lost their gradients and thin lines have taken over gaudy colours, making the new LG UI look much more beautiful to look at, than before.

Motorola shipped 6.5 million smartphones in Q1 2014

Motorola Mobility has announced that they have shipped 6.5 million smartphones globally in the first quarter of 2014. The company’s COO Rick Osterloh has not shared how much it actually sold. 6.5 million smartphone shipments in a quarter is definitely huge, since other competitors like LG and Lenovo has shipped less than 10 million smartphones in Q4 2013, according to IDC report.
