The Hungama Music app for Android, iPhone and iPad that was previously know has Hungama MyPlay has been refreshed with new UI and brings loyalty feature that rewards you for every action on the app. You can earn points by watching videos, playing/sharing songs, inviting friends or just by creating playlists. You can later redeem the points for free Music downloads, movie tickets, discount vouchers, merchandises and lots more. The Mood Discovery feature allows you to discover music based on your preferences – Mood, Tempo, Language, Genre or Era.

Nokia Lumia 820 price drops to Rs. 23499

Nokia has cut the price of the Lumia 820 to Rs. 23,499 in India. The Lumia 820 was announced back in September 2012, and it was launched in India earlier this year at a price tag of Rs. 27559. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED  ClearBlack display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS. Datawind UbiSlate 7C+ Edge goes on sale for Rs. 5999

Datawind, the company behind the low-cost Aakash tablets launched 4 new 7-inch tablets including the UbiSlate 7C+ back in September 2012. Now the new UbiSlate 7C+ Edge is on sale exclusively from online retailer Snapdeal.com. The UbiSlate 7C+ has a SIM card slot with GPRS support, but the new UbiSlate 7C+ Edge comes with EDGE support. Other features are similar including a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Sony Xperia E now available in India for Rs. 9999


Sony Xperia E is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. Both the Xperia E and the Xperia E dual went on pre-order online couple of weeks back. These were announced back in December 2012. The Xperia E dual went on sale in India recently, which we unboxed last week. It comes with a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Airtel launches 40 Mbps VDSL Broadband in Hyderabad


Airtel has launched 40 Mbps Broadband on VDSL (Very-high-speed digital subscriber line) technology in Hyderabad. Airtel currently offers broadband speeds up to 16Mbps on a DSL broadband in the city, and the new 40 Mbps on a VDSL broadband enables the customers enjoy high definition video streaming, online multiplayer gaming, and lots more easily. Airtel has introduced 2 plans, Ultrasonic 3999 and Ultrasonic 3299 that offers 200 GB data and 100 GB data, respectively.

Ericsson sues Micromax for Rs. 100 Crores over patent infringement

Ericsson, world’s biggest telecom network equipment maker has sued Micromax over patent infringement regarding wireless technology standards such as GSM, EDGE and 3G, according to a report from Economic Times. Ericsson is calming over Rs 100 crore in damages since Micromax has refused to sign necessary licences for products compliant with the GSM, EDGE, and UMTS/WCDMA standards, after three years of negotiations failed. Will Google start selling the Nexus 4 in India soon ?

In an interesting development , Google has listed the Nexus 7 up for sale on the Google Play India store just minutes ago.  This is the first time Google is directly selling a device in India to a customer through its Play store. This might be  a sign of things to come. The Nexus 4 is also hidden on the store but the page says that ” it is not available in your country ” . There has been a lot of speculation about the Nexus 4 launching in India ever since Google started selling one of the most affordable Android 4.2 powered in the US market.

Google Play Store India now sells the 16 GB Nexus 7 for a price of Rs. 15,999

It has been a while since we saw the Google Nexus 7 *officially* launch in India for Rs. 19,999/- but now, out of the blue, we have got the devices page on the Indian Google Play Store selling the Nexus 7 directly for Rs. 15,999 for the 16 GB version. Earlier, it was Croma, the Tata retailer that was selling it, but looks like we are finally seeing Google directly selling the device.

Google Nexus 4 Wireless Charger Unboxing and Hands on

If we remember right, Google launched the Nexus 4 along with a cool Wireless charger called the Charging Orb, but it never arrived until a couple of weeks back, when it finally came up on the Google Play Store. The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger, as it is called, is made by LG, just like the Nexus 4 itself. The device resembles a lot like the Nexus Q cut in half, suggesting Google’s influence in its design. We took it for a spin in our labs, and this video below is what happened when we unboxed it and gave a demo –

Cleartrip released their first Android app back in December, but it was not as impressive as their iPhone app. The new Cleartrip 2.0 has been built from ground up based on the Android design and development guidelines and brings lots of new features including a redesigned user interface (UI),Smart Home page, Split Screen Search, offline support and lots more new features. Asus Padfone Infinity launching in Taiwan this week


Asus Padfone Infinity that was announced last month in MWC 2013 would be launched in Taiwan on 26th March, according to a recent report from Central News Agency. The Padfone Infinity is the third device in the Padfone series, which follows the similar design as the first two Padfone devices. It lets you dock the phone in the Padfone station, which can be docked in a keyboard. The Padfone Infinity packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
