Google acquired Nest back in 2014 for $3.2 billion, and in the four-year journey, Nest has gained a lot of momentum and has doubled its hardware portfolio last year by selling more products in 2017 than in 2016 and 2015 combined. Google recently acquired Nest for $3.2 billion dollars and has hinted that Nest will be the core hardware team for Google. Google is now selling Nest Thermostat via its Google Play Store. Nest Thermostat is currently available via Amazon, Nest.com and Lowes. Also, Nest Thermostat becomes the first product to be available in both Apple and Google’s retail site.
