Futuremark has released PCMark benchmarking tool for Android. It has Work benchmark that lets you measure both performance and battery life. It also shows you how your device’s CPU clock frequency, CPU average usage, temperature and battery charge level changed while the benchmark was running. The app is 23 MB, and the Work benchmark is a 400 MB download, installed when you first run the app. More benchmarks will be added over time, says the company.
Lava has launched QPAD R704, the company’s latest tablet in the QPAD series. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, similar to the QPAD e704 tablet that was launched earlier this year, but this is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor instead of a Broadcom processor. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) that is upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat), has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
