Now the Obi Fox S453 and Racoon S401, two new budget smartphones are available for purchase online from Indiatimes Shopping and Saholic. The Obi Fox S453 has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen and the Racoon S401 has a 4-inch WVGA screen. Both these are powered by dual-core MediaTek processors, run on Android 4.4 (KitKat), come with 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi clarifies it does not collect user data without permission

Xiaomi has clarified that its smartphones are not a security threat. The Chinese smartphone maker has made the clarification after the Indian Air Force (IAF) had issued a circular to its 175,000 personnel to shun the use of Xiaomi smartphones either by them, or their family members on suspicions that the company is using their phones to spy on its users on behalf of the Chinese government.
