Bharti Airtel is all set to acquire Loop Mobile, according to a recent report from The Economic Times. Airtel would acquire Loop Mobile in a Rs. 700-crore deal, which is expected to be announced later this week, the report adds. Loop Mobile was previously called BPL Mobile when it started its operations in 1995 BPL Mobile and was renamed as Loop Mobile in 2009. Last year Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s first 10-inch waterproof tablet. evleaks has just leaked the specifications of the Xperia Z2 Tablet ahead of MWC 2014. The successor would have the same 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA display, but this would be powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor instead of Snapdragon S4 Pro chip. BlackBerry recently announced that it would partner with Foxconn to produce affordable BlackBerry 10 devices. Samsung Galaxy Core Advance goes on sale in Korea
Samsung announced the Galaxy Core Advance, successor of Galaxy Core back in December last year. The smartphone would go on sale in Korea tomorrow, February 18th. It has a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG L Series III smartphones L40, L70 and L90 running Android 4.4 announced
LG has just announced their L Series III smartphone lineup that includes, L40, L70 and L90. These smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). These have seamless layout, delicate finishing, narrow bezel and refined metallic frame to give premium looks similar to the G Series, says LG. It also has Quick Window cover. LG unveiled the Optimus L3, L5 and the L7 at the MWC 2012 and announced the L Series II smartphones at the MWC 2013 last year. Dhingana music streaming service shuts down
Dhingana, popular online music streaming service in India has shut down. Their official website dhingana.com doesn’t say the reason behind the shutdown. This was first reported by Medianama, which said that Dhingana CEO Rohit Bhatia told them back in December that the company was in the process of restructuring its operations, but denied that it is going to shut down. Sony Xperia G with 4.8-inch display images, specifications leak
Sony unveiled the Xperia T2 Ultra, a mid-range phablet along with its dual SIM variant, the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual recently. Earlier this week alleged images of the Xperia G, an upcoming mid-range smartphone appeared on Twitter. This comes from ViziLeaks, popular for leaking the live image of Lumia 1020 last year. Yesterday, another image that shows the back of the phone appeared online along with specifications.

Apple and Samsung reportedly fail to reach an agreement in mediation talks
In unsurprising news of this week, a lot of Korean websites and news papers are reporting that top level executives from Samsung and Apple have failed to reach an agreement in their mediation talks. Apple and Samsung have been battling it out in the courts for a long while now, and that’s not a secret. Apple had accused Samsung of various IP infringements including the hotly debated “Trade Dress”, but the Judge had decided to give both the companies the option to resolve their tussle through mediation talks. If the reports are true, those talks just failed and both the companies with be back to the courts, with Samsung defending Apple’s claims again.

Motorola Moto G Dual SIM gets Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in India
Motorola has finally started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the Dual SIM Moto G users in India. Motorola promised that the India users would get the update in a few weeks, at the launch, earlier this month. The Android 4.4.2 update was first released for the single SIM US variant first, back in December and it started rolling out in Europe, again for the single SIM variant last month.
