Motorola DROID Turbo 2 with shatterproof display and DROID Maxx 2 announced

Motorola has announced the most expected DROID Turbo 2 smartphone along with the DROID Maxx 2. The DROID Turbo 2 is an enhanced version of the Moto X Style that packs a slightly smaller 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED 540 ppi display. It also has  Moto ShatterShield, the world’s first shatterproof display. Motorola says that the display is guaranteed not to crack or shatter for up to 4 years. It packs a Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 3760mAh battery, slightly bigger than the Moto X Style and has the same front and rear cameras. The DROID Maxx 2 is a variant of Moto X Play. Jaybird has launched X2, the company’s new Bluetooth headset in India through an exclusive partnership with Indian distributor Ferrari Video and its retail brand Headphone Zone (headphonezone.in). It uses Bluetooth 2.1 to connect to other devices and promises 8 hours of play time on a single charge. It has a built-in microphone for calls and a three-button remote.

Motorola launched the Moto X Style, the company’s high-end smartphone in the X series earlier this month. It went on sale couple of weeks back on Flipkart starting at Rs. 29,999. We already brought you the hands-on impressions and the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. The Moto X Style is powered by an Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit 20nm processor that has two bigger ARM Cortex A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz per core with 600 MHz Adreno 418 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores.

It is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC and runs on Android Lollipop based on EUI 5.5.
