Uber has announced that it is getting a makeover. The popular ride hailing service is adorning a new logo and branding. Uber started as a way to hail private black cars and had a red magnet as a logo at the time. However, with its new logo, Uber says it wants to better represent the company it is now.
HTC reports $101 million loss for Q4 2015, down 46% YoY

HTC today reported a net loss of NT$ 3.4 billion ($101 million), on revenue of NT$ 25.7 billion ($766 million) for its fiscal 2015 fourth quarter that ended December 31, 2015. This is the third consecutive loss for the company. Even though the operating profit is up 20% quarter-on-quarter, it is down 46% year-on-year. Lenovo records $12.9 billion in revenue, down 8 percent year-over-year in Q3 2015
Lenovo has announced results for its third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2015. The company recorded quarterly revenue of $12.9 billion, an 8 percent year-over-year decrease. The company said net profit reached $300 million, up 19% from $253 million in the same period.

Microsoft officially confirms it has acquired SwiftKey

After reports, Microsoft has officially announced that it has acquired SwitKey, one of the popular keyboard app makers. The exact amount of the deal is not disclosed, but it is said to be $250 million, according to an earlier report. Microsoft said that it will continue to develop SwiftKey’s keyboard apps for Android and iOS and will also explore scenarios for the integration of the its core technology in its products. Global wearable device sales to soar 18.4% in 2016: Gartner
Worldwide wearable devices sales to hit 274.6 million in 2016, up 18.4 percent from 232.0 million units in 2015, according to the latest forecast from Gartner. The market is further expected to grow to 322.69 million wearable electronic devices in 2017 from 232.01 million units in 2015.
Meizu MX5 Flyme OS 5.1.3 update starts rolling out in India

Meizu launched the MX5 smartphone running Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in India back in August last year, priced at Rs. 19,999. Today the company has released Flyme OS 5.1.3 stable update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) for the Indian users finally. Microsoft Lumia 850 with 5.4-inch display, Iris scanner surfaces in live images

Microsoft Lumia 850 render based on factory-acquired schematics surfaced back in December last year, later the case of the smartphone leaked. Now live images of the smartphone have surfaced in a new leak from China (Via). The leak also says that the phone will have a 5.4-inch display compared to 5.5 / 5.7-inch screen as rumored earlier. It shows the smartphone’s metal frame and Iris Scanner at the top right corner.

Vodafone launches 4G LTE services in Delhi & NCR

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Delhi and NCR, as it had promised last week, after launching it in Kerala, Mysore and Kolkata. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Vodafone said that it is now available in prominent business and residential corridors of Guragon, and the the roll out will be completed in all parts of Delhi & NCR in phased manner. Android Marshmallow adoption finally crosses 1%, Lollipop grows to 34.1%
Google is out with its Android distribution data for the month of February. Marshmallow is now finally present on 1.2% of devices, up from 0.7% since last month. The latest version of Android had debuted the distribution chart in November last year with 0.3%.
