Samsung just announced its flagship Galaxy S7 edge smartphone at its Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event in Barcelona. It has a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) 535 PPI Super AMOLED always-on display, is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor depending on the market, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor depending on the market, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. HP Elite X3 with Windows 10, Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM announced

HP has officially announced its first Windows 10 phone Elite X3, as expected. The Elite X3 sports a 5.96-inch AMOLED display with quad HD 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with Gorilla Glass on top.

HTC Vive VR headset will cost $799, shipping in April

HTC has officially announced the consumer edition of Vive VR, its first virtual reality headset at MWC 2016. The company has teamed up with video game developer Valve for the VR headset which uses Valve’s Steam VR technology.

LG G5 with 5.3-inch Quad HD always-on display, 4GB RAM, hardware expansion slot announced

LG has officially announced G5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the G series that packs a dual rear cameras and a hardware expansion slot. It has a 5.3-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum always-on display that lets you can check the time, battery status, and notifications without waking the phone. The display’s backlight only illuminates one small part of the overall display, so only 0.8% of the phone’s battery drains in a hour, according to LG. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with LG UX.

Alcatel has introduced Idol 4 and Idol 4S smartphones in the Idol series, ahead of MWC next week. The company also announced that it is dropping the ONETOUCH branding and will be operating under the name ALCATEL. As expected, the IDOL 4s comes with an innovative packaging design that transforms into a pair of virtual reality goggles offering an immersive 360-degree viewing and gaming. It has Onetouch VR Store app to to download virtual reality content or stream realtime content via LittlStar.

Sony Smart Ear headset, new Xperia smartphone surface ahead of MWC announcement

Sony will introduce a new smartphone, codenamed Xperia PP10 and a smart Bluetooth headset dubbed Smart Ear at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona next week. According the leaked image from @evleaks, the Xperia smartphone will have a curved design, a large power button, similar to Xperia Z5 smartphones and a dedicated camera shutter button, below the volume rockers.
