Huawei has announced Kirin 950 SoC at an event in Beijing today. It is an Octa-Core SoC with four ARM Cortex A72 Cores that can be clocked up to 2.53 GHz and four ARM Cortex A53 Cores that can be clocked up to 1.8 GHz. It is based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture so it can alternate between the Cortex A72 or A53 cores depending on the type of tasks. Acer has launched Liquid Z630s and Liquid Z530, two new 4G smartphones in India exclusively on Flipkart. The Liquid Z630s packs a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, packs 3GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery, while the Liquid Z530 comes with a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC and has 2GB of RAM. At the Future Unleashed 2015 event in Mumbai today, Microsoft announced that it will launch the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones in India in December 2015. Both these smartphones were announced at an event in New York City last month and pack QHD AMOLED ClearBlack displays, run Windows 10, come with USB Type-C port, 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera with ZEISS optics, with 5th Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), triple LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Oppo A53, a new unannounced smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker has been certified at TENAA. Two other smartphones, OPPO A53m and OPPO A33m got the 3C certification in China recently.
