HTC today announced the One A9 and Desire 828 dual sim smartphones in India. The first smartphone in the new One A series was unveiled last month, and packs a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), RAW image capture and an Ultrapixel front-facing camera. The Desire 828 was introduced in China earlier this month, packs a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an Ultrapixel front-facing camera. Google to launch Accelerated Mobile Pages in early 2016

Last month Google announced Accelerated Mobile Pagesits new open source initiative to improve the performance of the mobile web pages. Now the company has announced that first accelerated pages will come sometime in early 2016, so all the traffic from Google Search will go to Accelerated Mobile Pages. This competes with Facebook Instant Articles that was launched earlier this year for iPhone. It was also launched for Android users in India this month. Lenovo launched Vibe S1, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in India earlier this week, exclusively on Amazon.in, priced at Rs.15,999. We recently brought you the unboxing and the first impressions and photo gallery of the Midnight Blue version, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Vibe S1 is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor with eight ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.69GHz per core and has Mali-T760 MP2 GPU. Indian smartphone market grows 21.4% YoY in Q3 2015, driven by budget 4G smartphones

International Data Corporation (IDC) has announced that 28.3 million smartphones were shipped to India in the third quarter of 2015 that ended September 30th. This is up 21.4% from 23.3 million units for the same period last year, said the report. It also said that one out of 3 smartphones shipped in India in Q3 2015 were 4G-enabled. Samsung is still the top smartphone vendor in the country by shipments with 24% market share, up 1% compared to the last quarter. Samsung Galaxy A7 successor with 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM gets certified in China

We had already seen the new Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A7100) smartphone in several benchmark listings, now the smartphone has been certified on TENAA (Via) in China. It shows the design of the smartphone for the first time, which is similar to the Galaxy S6 series with a glass back and curved sides with a metal frame. Even though it has the same 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display present in first Galaxy A7, the successor has a slightly curved glass on the front.
