LAVA ropes in Dhoni as brand ambassador, plans to invest Rs. 2615 crore
Lava International has appointed Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its new brand ambassador. Supporting Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative, the company already set up its first manufacturing plant in Noida and plans to invest Rs. 2,615 crore in a phased manner to scale it up to have an annual production capacity of 216 million phones. HTC 10 had surfaced in press images and live images earlier. Now the official promo video for the smartphone has leaked online, ahead of official announcement tomorrow. It also confirms the HTC 10 name, Carbon Gray, Glacier Silver and Topaz gold color variants of the smartphone.

Idea Cellular selects Nokia for 4G LTE in Kerala, AP and Haryana
Idea Cellular has selected Nokia to provide the technology for its 4G LTE rollout in three of its key regional circles – Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana. Nokia will also expand Idea Cellular’s 3G network in four circles, as well as modernizing and expanding its 2G networks in six circles. Lenovo has launched PHAB, a 6.98-inch phablet in India, months after launching the high-end PHAB Plus in the country. It was announced back in September last year at the IFA, has a HD screen, is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei Watch launched in India for Rs. 22999
Huawei has finally launched the Huawei Watch in India, as expected. It was originally announced back in March last year, but it went on sale only in September. It has a 1.4-inch (400 x 400 pixels) circular AMOLED display with 10,000:1 high contrast ratio, scratch-proof sapphire crystal lens and has cold-forged stainless steel frame. Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro with WUXGA display, Snapdragon 616, 4G LTE announced
Huawei has introduced MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro tablet, few months after it announced the MediaPad M2 10.0 tablet at the CES 2016. This has a similar 10.1-inch WUXGA IPS display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top, but this is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 SoC, instead of Kirin 930 SoC. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 8.5mm thick and also comes with 4G LTE connectivity.
