Until now Apple had not launched a dedicated dock for the iPhone 6 since its release. The new dock works with iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as the 5 and 5s. Previous lightning dock had earlier arrived in 2012 at the time of iPhone 5 launch. The connector also has the necessary pins to support headsets and play-pause control that work with iPhone. Finally, the dock which is white in color and made of plastic has a base to hold your iPhone. Latest lightning dock retails for $39 via the U.S. Apple Store.
