Qualcomm has announced two new processors, one in the Snapdragon 200 series and other in the Snapdragon 400 series. The new Snapdragon 212 SoC, the company’s latest quad-core processor has multi-mode 3G/4G LTE Advanced and LTE Dual SIM aimed at entry-level smartphones and tablets. It uses the same ARM Cortex A7 CPU seen on the Snapdragon 210, but the clock speed has been increased from 1.1 GHz to 1.3 GHz per core. The Snapdragon 412 quad-core processor uses 64-bit Cortex A53 CPUs similar to the Snapdragon 410, but the clock speed has been increased from 1.2 GHz to 1.4 GHz per core and the memory bandwidth has been increased from 533 MHz to 600 MHz. Panasonic Eluga Icon with 5.5-inch HD display, 4G LTE, 3500 mAh battery launched for Rs. 10999
Panasonic has launched Eluga Icon, the company’s latest smartphone with 4G support in India. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display, is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with with ICON UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and support for 4G TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India. OnePlus 2 Review
OnePlus is quickly turning out to be a household name. It just took OnePlus about 12 months to become a hero from a zero. The company’s marketing strategy with all the social media hype and of course, the invite system made sure that the demand was always soaring through the roof.
With their first device, OnePlus set out on a mission – to offer great performance, while still keeping the price tag very affordable. It sounded similar to Google’s Nexus program, but as turns out OnePlus managed to beat the Nexus pricing hands down. It’s still quite hard to figure out how the company is doing that.
