In October, Twitter announced that it is going to pull the plug on its Vine mobile app in coming months. Now the micro blogging site has provided an update about the future of the six seconds video sharing app.

Vine’s mobile app will remain and it will be rebranded as Vine Camera. You will still be able to make the same six seconds looping video using the Vine Camera app. These videos can then either be saved to your mobile device or shared on Twitter. The re-branded Vine Camera app will be launched in January on Android and iOS. It will replace the current Vine app. Vines that were posted to the Vine.co website before the October announcement will also be made available for download.
