Huawei Honor brand today introduced Honor 8 Lite, a cheaper version of last year’s flagship Honor 8 smartphone in Finland. The main difference is that this has a 12-megapixel single rear camera instead of dual 12-megapixel rear cameras on the Honor 8. This also comes with a less powerful Kirin 655 processor, similar to the Honor 6X instead of Honor 8’s Kirin 950 SoC, but this runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.0 out of the box. Apple has beat Samsung to claim the top position as the top smartphone vendor based on shipments in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). Apple, as it announced earlier today shipped 78.3 million smartphones during the quarter grabbing 18.3% market share compared to Samsung who shipped 77.5 smartphones grabbing 18.1% market share.
