iOS 11.3 to bring new Animoji, Health records, Battery status, ARKit Improvements and more

Apple today announced iOS 11.3 and previewed some of its features. The update will bring four new Animoji – lion, bear, dragon and skull for the iPhone X, ARKit 1.5 to developers to offer even more immersive AR experiences to recognize and place virtual objects on vertical surfaces like walls and doors, and more accurately map irregularly shaped surfaces like circular tables for next-generation AR apps.

Moto X4 6GB RAM version with Android Oreo expected to launch in India exclusively on Flipkart on February 1

Motorola launched the Moto X4 smartphone in India back in November last year in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variants. Now the company has started teasing the launch of new version of the smartphone in the country that hints at 6GB RAM version of the smartphone which has also been listed on Flipkart in Sterling Blue version without much details.

Qualcomm hit with 997 million euro fine by the EU over Apple mobile chip deals

Update: Qualcomm has confirmed it has received a decision from the European Commission (EC) relating to an expired agreement between Qualcomm and Apple Inc., which was in effect from 2011 through 2016, for the pricing of modem chips. Qualcomm said that it strongly disagrees with the decision and will immediately appeal it to the General Court of the European Union. It also said that EC decision does not relate to Qualcomm’s licensing business and has no impact on ongoing operations. Samsung 860 PRO and 860 EVO Solid State Drives with up to 4TB capacity announced

Samsung has announced 860 PRO and 860 EVO Solid State Drives successors of 850 PRO and 850 EVO that were introduced back in 2015. Both these come in up to 4TB capacities to hold up to 114 hours and 30 minutes of 4K Ultra HD video.

Xiaomi begins MIUI 10 development

Xiaomi introduced MIUI 9 back in July last year along with the Mi 5X smartphone which has already rolled out to several devices. Yesterday at the 2017 Annual Meeting for MIUI division to discuss about the past year and future development, the company said that it has started the development of MIUI 10. This was confirmed by Hong Feng, Co-Founder and Vice President of Xiaomi who leads the MIUI division.
