Samsung today has introduced two new image sensors; the ISOCELL fast 2L9 and Slim 2X7. The Fast 2L9 is a 1.28 micrometer 12-megapixel camera sensor while the Slim 2X7 is an ultra-small 0.9μm 24Mp ISOCELL Slim 2X7 with Tetracell technology. Samsung has four categories for their camera sensors; the fast, slim, ultra and bright which the company uses depending on the product. Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 now available from Big Bazaar stores in India

Xiaomi started selling Redmi Note 4 smartphone through offline stores in India starting this March and the Redmi 4 was available in offline markets from June, a month after its launch exclusively on Amazon.in. Today Xiaomi has announced that both the smartphones will be available at over 240 Big Bazaar stores across India, just in time for the festive season.

Apple Music and A R Rahman collaborate to set up 2 music labs in India

Apple Music is joining hands with A R Rahman to set up two Music Labs in India. The Music Labs will be set up at KM Music Conservatories (KMMC) based in Chennai and Mumbai. The KM Music Conservatory was founded by A.R. Rahman to teach and strengthen the art of Indian music. The institution also offers an education in Western music and music technology.

Snapchat has introduced new Contextual cards feature which will add contextual information to the geotagged images and photos in Snapchat public stories. Cards with the contextual information will be automatically included to the Snaps added to the Snapchat regional story feature, or venue specific geofilter or those sent with white text. Users can just swipe up of any photo or image that shows the word ‘more’ below it and then, you’ll be able to see an interactive cards popup with more information about the particular place. At the Google Hardware event, Google introduced several products and also refreshed the current line-up of Day Dream and Home. At the event it also introduced the Home Mini speaker which is a trim down variant of the original Home speaker for $49.99. The pricing and the feature that it comes with are bang on, but the soon after Google handed over press units at the event on 4th, a weird issue where the Home mini accidentally started recording at random occasions due to the improper calibration of the touch sensor.
