LG expects 82% increase in operating profit YoY in Q3 2017

LG Electronics has reported preliminary quarterly earnings for third quarter of 2017. It expects increase 82.2% YoY increase in operating profit in Q3 with most revenue coming from home appliances and TV business. With an operating profit of 516.1 billion won ($454 million) in the period of July-September, the revenue is expected to rise up at least by 15.2% higher than the same period last year. Google Duo gets deeper integration with Pixel’s dialer, contacts and message apps

Google’s Duo and Allo apps have received several updates this year with new features and improvement. In June, the video calling app was integrated to Allo allowing users to make a Duo call right inside from Allo chat app. Now, Google is looking forward to integrate Duo into the dialer, SMS, and contacts applications.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 First Impressions

When the Mi MIX launched, a bezel-less smartphone was essentially a pipe dream. Sure, Sharp had announced a number of them over the years but a product that remained stuck in Japan doesn’t really count, does it? So, when out of the blue, Xiaomi of all brands introduced a modern, uncompromised smartphone that simply broke all design conventions, it quickly became the talk of the town.
In the year that has followed, bezel less and 18:9 are terms that almost every major smartphone manufacturer has latched on to. Now that the gimmick isn’t new or unique, the Mi MIX 2 has to stand up on its own merits. We’ve spent a bit of time with the new hardware. Xiaomi just launched the Mi MIX 2, the company’s second-generation Mi MIX smartphone at an event in Delhi, as it had promised. It has a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display with ultra narrow bezels that has a 12% smaller chin compared to the predecessor. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform with 6GB of RAM, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor and a 5-megapixel camera on the front on the right bottom that also supports face recognition. OPPO F5 with full-screen display, dual front cameras to be announced on October 26

OPPO has announced that it will unveil F5, the company’s next-generation smartphone in the F-Series at an event in Philippines on October 26th.
