Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 14nm, Snapdragon 439 and 429 12nm Mobile Platforms with Dual VoLTE, AI capabilities announced

Qualcomm just announced the Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 Mobile Platforms as new additions to Snapdragon 600 and 400 tiers. These promise better performance, better battery life, more efficient designs, impressive graphics and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, and are targeted at mid-range and budget devices. Compared to Cortex A53 CPUs on the Snapdragon 630, the Snapdragon 632 now uses Qualcomm’s custom Kryo 250 CPUs combined with X9 LTE modem. This promises 40% higher performance compared to Snapdragon 625/626. It is based on 14nm process technology. ASUS Zenfone 5Z with 6.2-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, Snapdragon 845, AI dual rear cameras launching in India on July 4

ASUS introduced its flagship Zenfone 5Z smartphone at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona earlier this year. The smartphone started rolling out from Europe earlier this month. Nokia promised the face unlock feature on the recently launched Nokia 8 Sirocco, 7 Plus, Nokia 6 (2018) but the feature is nowhere to be seen yet even after months since the launch. However, Nokia Mobiles on Twitter has confirmed that the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and the new Nokia 6.1, as well as the Nokia 8, will get face unlock as an OTA update in the coming months. Xiaomi launches Flame Red Redmi Note 5 (Redmi Note 5 Pro) in China

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colors earlier this year. Later it introduced the same phone as Redmi Note 5 with better specifications in same colors in China. Now the company has introduced Flame Red color variant of the smartphone in China. Supercell finally releases Brawl Stars for Android beta in select countries

Supercell, creators of popular Clash of Clans and Clash Royale games  announced Brawl Stars, a new 3v3 multiplayer shooter game back in June last year, exact a year later, the company has soft launched the game in Canada, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau and Hong Kong. Honor 7X gets a price cut in India, now starts at Rs. 11999

Huawei’s Honor Brand launched the Honor 7X smartphone in India back in December last year starting at Rs. 12,999. Today the company has announced a permanent price cut for the smartphone. The company even introduced a limited Red Edition earlier this year that joined Black, Blue and Gold color variants, and started manufacturing the phone in partnership with Flex at its plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro with Snapdragon 710, 6GB RAM, Dual speakers surface

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with model numbers M1804E4A, M1804E4T and M1804E4C got certified by TENAA in China last week. This revealed 6.99-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio screen, Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM,  Android 8.1 (Oreo), 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, along with a secondary rear camera with AI portraits. Now details about the Mi Max 3 Pro has surfaced in China, which is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 710 SoC and 6GB of RAM.

Airtel appoints Ajay Chitkara as director and CEO of its B2B unit, combines domestic and global enterprise business

Bharti Airtel today announced that it has appointed Ajay Chitkara as Director and CEO of Airtel Business, and the company has integrated both domestic enterprise and global enterprise operations. Ajay will continue reporting to Gopal Vittal, who is the MD and CEO of Bharti Airtel. The company has also appointed Pankaj Miglani as CEO – Global Business. He will report to Ajay Chitkara. Previously he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bharti Infratel and played a key role in the company’s IPO in 2012.

Google Camera update brings Google Lens integration to Pixel and Nexus phones

Google is rolling out a new update to its Camera application bringing the version number to 5.2.025, and this brings the much talked Google Lens integration to Pixel and Nexus phones. Apple releases iOS 12 public beta with group notifications, ARKit 2, improved Performance for iPhone and iPad
