Microsoft acquires AI-based bot development studio XOXCO


Microsoft has announced the acquisition of XOXCO, a software product design and development studio known for its conversational AI and bot development capabilities. It is established in 2013 and has been paving the way in conversational AI. It was responsible for the creation of Howdy, the first commercially available bot for Slack that helps schedule meetings.

Thanks to the new acquisition, the company is continuing to realize its approach of democratizing AI development, conversation, and dialog, and integrating conversational experiences where people communicate. The main goal is to make AI accessible and valuable to every individual and organization, amplifying human ingenuity with intelligent technology.

Microsoft is infusing intelligence across all its products and services to extend individuals’ and organizations’ capabilities and make them more productive, providing a powerful platform of AI services.
